Prep Girls Hoops made the trip to the Upstate to attend the LBI Opening Day in Greenville. The event featured several teams from the Carolinas. Both South Carolina and North Carolina Prep Girls Hoops sites were in attendance for the LBI Opening. Lets dive into the action right here. First I want to look at some of the 2022 Top Performers from Palmetto State on Saturday at the LBI Opening.
[player_tooltip player_id="187987" first="Jakaiya" last="Mack"] - JL Mann HS (Greenville) - FBC Carolina Elite Neal (pictured on front)
Mack handles the ball a lot up the floor while at times playing the 1-3 positions on the floor for FBC Carolina. Mack got the ball to the rack and finished several cheapies in transition today. Mack has a good knack for scoring the ball and the ability to create her own shot. Mack plays the game with a great deal confidence in the back court.
[player_tooltip player_id="171771" first="Tiana" last="Spann"] - First Baptist - TMP 17U
Spann finished with 19 points in a victory over the Tennessee Shooters. Spann finished around the basket and was effective just as much on the boards. Spann keeps the ball up high and really knows out to carve out space down low in the paint. Spann has a nice touch from foul line and the ability to hit a short elbow jumper.
[player_tooltip player_id="124098" first="Dylan" last="Silber"] - Wando HS - TMP 17U
Silber connected on some big shots (3) three pointers behind the arc today on her way to 13 points. Silber really works to get her shot and took high percentage shots today in the win. Silber is always around the ball with her constant hustle on the floor.

[player_tooltip player_id="206609" first="Mingaile" last="Urmuleviciute"] - Trinity Collegiate (Darlington) - The SC76ers Premier 17U
Urmuleviciute came to play down in the paint the today for the SC76ers Premier 17U. Urmuleviciute really works to post up down low and to receive the ball with her back to the basket. Urmuleviciute finished in transition with her ability to fill the lane while running the floor. Urmuleviciute will alter and challenge shots down in the paint just like her teammate. Urmuleviciute might still be better off right now on the defensive end of the floor with her game.

[player_tooltip player_id="185229" first="Zoe" last="Hawkins"] - North HS - SC Future
Hawkins was great today for her squad down in the paint. Hawkins was able to finish on put-backs while posting up down low. Hawkins was extremely effective from playing just a few feet away from the cup. Hawkins collected several rebounds in the SC Future victory over One Force.

[player_tooltip player_id="175389" first="Anija" last="Jones"] - Denmark- Olar HS - SC Future
Jones came out firing hitting today some early three pointers in the game. Jones moves well without the ball around the floor and always seems to be shot ready. Jones has a good frame and isn’t afraid physical at times to overpower other guards on the defensive end of the floor.
