PGH Southeast Kickoff: 15U Backcourt Beasts from Day Two

This past Sunday, many a prospect that was on hand for this year's Southeast Kickoff was looking to finish with a flourish.&nbsp;</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Emanating from Hickory, North Carolina in the western realms of the state, this year's Southeast Kickoff was one of three events that tipped off Circuit season alongside similar get-togethers in New York and Chicago. Vines' heroics helped her team turn the tide on the second day as Carolina Smoke 15U earned its first victory of Southeast Kickoff weekend. There are guards who have superb ball handling skills and there are guards like Vines who are able to fuse together those handles with explosive speed. That enables her to slice and dice through defenses quickly and find lanes to attack the rim. Vines' footwork enables her to make plays on offense and defense. Her eight points led the way against that more than held its own despite playing up in class. Sauceda particularly found success from 3-point land. [program_tooltip program_id='714756' first='Carolina' last='All-Stars'] 15U BSB connected on two attempts from deep in Sunday's game. Both occurred in the second half and both departed from Sauceda's hands. As Donaldson displays, talent is continuing to rise through the Mavericks' pipeline. Donaldson was another that played a massive role in [program_tooltip program_id='714762' first='Charlotte' last='Dream Elite'] 14U's rout of [program_tooltip program_id='714756' first='Carolina' last='All-Stars'] 15U BSB. In addition to contributing massively to that offensive onslaught, she also steered clear of the referee's whistle as she was not called for a single personal foul in that contest. McCauley is one of the many impressive youngsters wearing its uniform and she was part of an offensive onslaught on Sunday that overwhelmed [program_tooltip program_id='714756' first='Carolina' last='All-Stars'] 15U BSB. McCauley's versatility and overall talent is what enables her to make things happen as a three forward in addition to in the backcourt. Physicality is another key element to her game. She competed in 26 games this past season for coach Kenny Orr's Bearcats and her sporting a [program_tooltip program_id='714762' first='Charlotte' last='Dream Elite'] 14U uniform is an indication that she is loaded with upside. Jackson helped in ensuring her club team would be the lone squad competing in the 15U field that would depart from Hickory with an unblemished record. Jackson does not take plays off and can be a scoring threat either from behind the arc or by attacking the basket.
