Prep Girls Hoops stayed down on the coast this past weekend and attended the NTBA Ballin at the Beach in Myrtle Beach. The events was a boys and girls event hosted at the Myrtle Beach Sports Center. Lets take a look at some of the 2024 Top Performers.

[player_tooltip player_id="275339" first="Maya" last="Collins"] - Home School (Myrtle Beach) - Manzer
This was my first time seeing Collins play and I walked away quite impressed with her play. Collins plays the game at a good pace and has great feel for the game. Collins looks to be looking at a school for next year on Grand Strand somewhere. Collins sees the floor and is very crafty with the ball in her hands. Collins was able to utilize a nice cross-over mover on few occasions to get by defenders. Collins is a name to follow down the road here on the Grand Strand.
[player_tooltip player_id="275340" first="Ashtyn" last="Adams"] - Hanahan HS - Coastal Select (pictured on front)
Adams was CONSTANTLY MOVING ALL OVER THE FLOOR. Adams was moonlighting and playing with a few Coastal Select teams here this weekend. Adams gets good position in the paint and handles the ball up the floor at times. Adams hit a few short jumpers and was most effective playing inside the paint.

[player_tooltip player_id="275338" first="Ariyann" last="Lawton"] - Waccamaw HS (Pawleys Island) - Confidence Cougars
Lawton remains active on the floor with her ability to play inside-out. Lawton finished with her left-hand around the basket and showed to be a good passer from the high post at times. Lawton moves well without the ball and can handle the rock up the floor in transition.
[player_tooltip player_id="185223" first="Jalyn" last="Almeida"] - Cathedral Academy (North Charleston) - Coastal Select
Almeida has been a fixture for the Lady Generals the past few years on the varsity scene. Almeida averaged 20.3 ppg this past season for the Lady Generals. The Lady Generals finished runner-up to Newberry Academy in the SCISA Class 1A State Championship Game this past February. Almeida leaks out in transition for cheapies on the other end at times but really does have a good feel for the game. Almeida was able to connect on some open looks from the perimeter including some three pointers.

[player_tooltip player_id="257989" first="Paige" last="Pouyat"] (2026) - Cathedral Academy (North Charleston) - Coastal Select
Prep Girls Hoops had to mention this young lady right despite being in the 2026 class. Pouyat is just a 7th grader currently and seeing plenty of action at the varsity level. Pouyat plays for her father on the Lady Generals roster. Pouyat is a pass first guard and really can find her teammates on the floor for open looks.
