A few dozen college coaches were in attendance to watch some outstanding players – including these girls who stood out to our crew at PGH Ohio.
Ashley Frantz – Bellbrook – Class of 2023
Ashley showed the ability to do it all at the Spring Special. She made some 3-pointers at legit range behind the line, scored off of the dribble with some creative finishes and added some nice post moves with both hands from the block. Frantz was routinely seen encouraging her teammates and listening to her coaches – while playing with a small on her face the entire time.
Sarah Sewak – Lakota East – Class of 2022
Sewak is a strong guard with more athleticism than meets the eye. She hunts shots – finding ways to get the ball up to the rim at a high rate, as a scorer. She is a good shooter with a quick release and solid range from 3. When she draws double-teams – she is more than capable of finding the open teammate and getting her the ball.
Kiara Hudgins Kiara Hudgins 5'3" | PG Sidney | 2024 State OH – Gahanna Lincoln – Class of 2024
Aaliyah is a score-first combo guard with outstanding handles. She has a quick first-step, which she uses to blow by defenders and get into the paint. She has a smooth stroke from 3, but is even more impressive when she goes to her step-back jumper – once she gets defenders on their heels.
Kamryn Grant Kamryn Grant 6'1" | PF Africentric | 2024 State OH – Columbus Africentric – Class of 2024
It was impressive to see Grant play against much older kids – and at times dominate athletically. She is a long, athletic kid who is still growing into her body. She runs the floor well in transition. Kamryn can defend multiple positions around the rim and on the perimeter. Offensively – she show signs of being a force near the bucket – especially in 1-dribble situations.
Kadence Conley Kadence Conley 5'6" | CG Dublin Jerome | 2024 OH – Dublin Jerome – Class of 2024
Solid, physical guard – with a high basketball IQ and a solid motor. She is a good jump shooter from the mid-range and beyond the arc. She is reliable when it comes to getting the offense initiated for her team or guarding the other team’s top perimeter scoring threat. Kadence often makes hustle plays and comes up with 50-50 balls for her team.
