States Session III – Standouts

Multiple players impressed in the third session of the 2021 WVSSAC State Tournament. Take a look below at the standouts.   [player_tooltip player_id="153322" first="Baylee" last="Goins"] - Nitro - 2021 - Guard The Nitro Wildcats put up an all around dominant performance against the 3 seed Midland Trail. A great performance led by senior guard, [player_tooltip player_id="153322" first="Baylee" last="Goins"]. Goins had 15 points, 11 assists, 7 rebounds, and 5 steals . Nitro will play in the semifinals at 11:15AM on Friday.   Meghan Gill - Midland Trail - 2022 - Forward Midland Trails biggest contribution was their inside presence. Junior Forward, Meghan Gill led the team with 14 points. Gill also added 11 rebounds with 3 blocks. Midland Trails season is over, but will look to get back to Charleston next season.   Sydney Bolles - Charleston Catholic - 2021 - Forward Charleston Catholic fell short in their battle against Petersburg. Although senior Sydney Bolles had 19 points, 8 rebounds, and 6 blocks. The Irish look to have another successful season next year.   [player_tooltip player_id="153342" first="Karlie" last="Denham"] - North Marion - 2021 - Guard North Marion got out and did so early. Led by senior, [player_tooltip player_id="153342" first="Karlie" last="Denham"]. Denham showed a strong presence from behind the arc and on the break. Leading the team with 29 points, 5 rebounds, and 7 assists. North Marion moves onto the semifinals vs Nitro.   Ellen Keaton - Hampshire - 2021 - Forward Hampshire got outlasted in their loss against North Marion. Ellen Keaton for Hampshire showed a strong inside game. Putting up 20 points, 10 rebounds, 3 steals. Hampshire looks to be back next season.
