I wrote about ’24 [player_tooltip player_id="104791" first="Jordan" last="Lee"] (Jason Kidd Select 16U) on my Heart Of Texas "New Faces Day 2" and the PGH evaluators in California already had a jump on me yet a couple of her teammates,<strong> ’24 Dominique Nesland-5’9 PG</strong> and <strong>’25 Samari Bankhead-6’0 SG</strong> definitely grabbed my attention as players on the verge and with that being said, when you drop down and see the 5’1 PG C/O 2026, Google the names Porsche Landry and D’Franz Smart and always remember there is no me

George has B/C by her name and it’s not because she gives defenders headaches, well that’s not the only reason as I love her body control. She attacks relentlessly and can hit some acrobatic shots after the lick yet she can also dish off the attack on the money. She does a good job creating her shot and watching her hit teammates in transition was an opening day treat
<strong>[player_tooltip player_id="238724" first="Zya" last="Vann"]-5’9 SG/SF (Lady Jets Randle 16U) 2024</strong>
Vann is yet another talented sister from Oklahoma that just keeps elevating her game and watching her attack the basket with ease from multiple angles and finishing after contact was superseded by her court vision as she hit teammates with blazing passes yet watching her defend, on ball, and use her quick hands to come up with steals was pretty cool as well
<strong>Keziah Lofton-5’11 PG (Lady Jets Randle 16U) 2024</strong>
<img class="alignleft size-thumbnail wp-image-279417" src="https://prephoops-uploads.s3.amazonaws.com/pgh/uploads/2021/04/DSC_0020-150x150.jpg" alt="" width="150" height="150" />
Lofton was labeled #D1Lock by me years ago and shortly after it was #BCS and you could throw away the key to that lock and the big question is, how do I do it yet I keep asking myself "how does she do it" and that’s finding ways to keep elevating her game every time I see her. Size, length, ball-handling, shooting, seeing the floor, and defending yet her UNSELFISHNESS is an intangible because she could drop almost 30 whenever she wanted, keep in mind she’s playing up yet she finds ways to keep going up, up, and away, a real SUPERGIRL
<strong>[player_tooltip player_id="158870" first="Taler" last="Thornton"]-5’8 SG (Houston Skyrise 23 Elite) 2024</strong>
<a href="https://prephoops-uploads.s3.amazonaws.com/pgh/uploads/2021/04/DSC_0437-crop-640x421-1619783233.jpg"><img class="alignleft size-thumbnail wp-image-279430" src="https://prephoops-uploads.s3.amazonaws.com/pgh/uploads/2021/04/DSC_0437-crop-640x421-1619783233-150x150.jpg" alt="" width="150" height="150" /></a>
Thornton was playing with either TWELVE or ASA in the BCS area yet I knew I had to have her on my radar ASAP, my ability to play on words is second to none yet her ability on the court keeps my eyes glued to her as she understands the simple things that lead to big things, she plays within herself yet in the blink of an eye, she’s filled up the stat sheet and with her UPSIDE, watch out
<strong>Erica Rileigh Hairston-5’9 SF (Houston Lady Roadrunners17U-Bell) 2025</strong>
Hairston is, drumroll please, long and athletic and one more time, that’s the base and I can’t wait to add her to the 2025 Watchlist, keep in mind she’s playing 17U in the 8th grade and doing a pretty good job battling against the HS ballers. She has a nice first step, she finishes strongly and she can create her shot, that midrange jumper combined with her length will be one of her many go-to ways of putting the ball in the basket
<strong>Kalyn Toussaint-5’1 PG (Houston Lady Roadrunners 17U-Bell) 2026</strong>
<a href="https://prephoops-uploads.s3.amazonaws.com/pgh/uploads/2021/04/DSC_0050-crop-640x421-1619783321.jpg"><img class="alignleft size-thumbnail wp-image-279433" src="https://prephoops-uploads.s3.amazonaws.com/pgh/uploads/2021/04/DSC_0050-crop-640x421-1619783321-150x150.jpg" alt="" width="150" height="150" /></a>
Toussaint reminds me so much of the PG’s I mentioned in the opening paragraph, many don’t know what I’m talking about because they choose to listen to others that don’t know and it snowballs yet those were the starting point guards for Houston and Rice back in the day, size around the same and I saw them both pre-high school so the similarities are there, even though the game has totally changed from what it was, I have the ability to recognize those with game and starting with her SWB, speed with the ball, her pull-up jumper, her range, that HEZ to get defenders off-balance, playing the passing lane and seeing the floor, I’m about ready to drop the LOCK
