Here are the players from the 2024 class who increased their stock
[player_tooltip player_id="269141" first="Tahira" last="Muhammad"] - Noble & Greenough/Shooting Touch - 5’9’’ - SG
PGH Rank: #5

When anyone mentions the iron of the ’24 class, they rightfully name [player_tooltip player_id="269250" first="Cameron" last="Rust"] and [player_tooltip player_id="269251" first="Ayanna" last="Franks"] as the cream of the crop. After what I saw over the weekend, [player_tooltip player_id="269141" first="Tahira" last="Muhammad"] needs to be included in that same discussion. She is already the best defender in the class, and watching her shot creation throughout the weekend, it is hard to find a better two-way player. It felt like Muhammad gained more confidence by the possession. Her defense was tenacious, the three-point shot was hitting at an efficient clip, and she showed great footwork in one-on-one scoring opportunities in the halfcourt. As she continues to develop her offensive game, I can make a case for Muhammad being the best player in the class of 2024.

[player_tooltip player_id="269245" first="Kelian" last="Cedano"] - Bradford Christian/Lady Rivals - 5’8’’ - SG
PGH Rank: #14
Cedano may have the highest ceiling of anyone outside of the top 5. She is an athletic wing who is a challenge to stay in front of because she’s an exceptional ball-handler and a lefty. Lefties always have an advantage, especially if they have a scorer’s mindset like Cedano because you have to defend the opposite of what your brain is used to since most players are right-handed. Cedano is so gifted scoring off the bounce that she can take full advantage of slow close-outs and defenders in the wrong position because they are taught to force ball handlers to go left. I saw it time and time again, where a defender closed out on Cedano, cutting off her right hand, and she blew by them and made whatever shot she wanted, whether it be at the rim or a mid-range pull-up. Cedano is a scary player when she gets cooking on offense and can explode for a huge scoring game at any time.

[player_tooltip player_id="267181" first="Ella" last="Flanagan"] - St. Mark’s/ Mass Mavericks - 5’10’’ - SF
PGH Rank: #17

What I liked about Flanagan over the weekend was her activity on the glass. Flanagan is a three-level scorer and showed how effective she could be scoring in the halfcourt; but, I always appreciate the scoring wings who find other ways to impact winning. Flanagan’s rebounding effort was incredible. On the offensive side especially, she secured multiple possessions for the Mass Mavericks, which resulted in many second-chance points. Not many players on the list can shoot like Flanagan and also be a factor on the boards the way she was; therefore, the 5’10’’ wing has the potential to continue to raise her stock as the spring progresses.

[player_tooltip player_id="269442" first="Elizabeth" last="Lavoie"] - Pinkerton Academy/Team Saints - 5’11’’ - SG
PGH Rank: #24

Lavoie is a special player who pops when on the court. At 5’11’’, Lavoie has the size to score on defenses easily, and more importantly, she has terrific court vision. Nothing I love more than a big wing who sees the floor well and is willing to move the ball on offense. Lavoie is not careless with the ball, is a terrific decision-maker, and is a creative scorer off the bounce. She rebounded at a high level and played with a toughness that catches your eye. I liked her defensive activity and how Lavoie used her length to be active in passing lanes throughout the weekend. Lavoie’s skill set is so unique, and when you couple that with her size, she can potentially fly up these ranks.
