She sees the floor clearly as a passer and confidently knocks down perimeter shots when left open.     Avery earned First Team All-Division honors in New Jersey for her standout 2025–26 season. She plays under control, using jab steps and strong footwork before putting the ball on the floor. Avery is instinctive defensively, jumping passing lanes and turning steals into transition opportunities. She's a reliable shooter from three and mid-range, and she attacks the paint effectively, using her length to finish over defenders.     Ella has been a major factor in Milton Academy securing the #5 seed in the Class A playoffs, bringing toughness and consistency every night. She battles relentlessly on the glass, boxing out with strength and refusing to give opponents second chances while also creating extra possessions on the offensive end. Ella is willing to sacrifice her body for loose balls and momentum plays. Offensively, she's comfortable in the high post knocking down mid-range shots and can space the floor from the corners as a true stretch big.     Avery finished as the second leading scorer in Division I of the NHIAA, averaging 19.7 points per game and proving she can score at all three levels. She finishes creatively around the rim with moves like euro steps, pulls up confidently in the mid-range, and extends her range several steps beyond the three-point line. If defenders sag, she makes them pay immediately. With a lightning-quick release and deep shooting ability, Avery needs only a sliver of space to get her shot off.
