PLAYER PERFORMANCES

[player_tooltip player_id="138305" first="Nykesha" last="Sanders"] (PG, Chandler Park)
If she wanted to, Sanders could blow up a scoreboard. She’s super quick with the dribble and can create for herself off the bounce. But what was very impressive this weekend, is that wasn’t where she left her mark. Sanders shined as the heartbeat of the team and a facilitator on offense. She was one of the top 2 way players at the event, showing the ability to create havoc on the defensive end.
[player_tooltip player_id="138410" first="Ndidiamaka" last="Ndukwe"] (SF, Summit Academy)
Ndukwe is usually, and was again this weekend, too strong and physical for her opponents. She’s a really tough matchup on the wing, where she read her defender at the Derby City Duel, and found where and when to attack them. Ndukwe is a very high ceiling wing at the next level.
[player_tooltip player_id="147755" first="Raigan" last="Lawrence"] (CG, Avondale)
Lawrence is a very intriguing player and prospect. She’s a versatile player that can play effectively on or off the ball. Lawrence is tough to defend with her strength and ability to bulldog the ball to the rim on a straight line drive. After seeing her this weekend, I think opponents will have to game plan around her come high school season.
[player_tooltip player_id="138366" first="India" last="Respress"] (G/F/ Chandler Park)
If you like watching glue type players shine, you would enjoy watching Respress at the Derby City Duel. She does a little bit of everything, and all of them are what her team needs to pick up a W. Respress was very impressive on the defensive end where it looked like she could guard multiple positions. Her style of play will earn her minutes at the next level.
