OGBR Spring Special- Part 7

<strong>Kendall Carruthers: 5’4, G, 2023, Springfield: </strong>Watching this young lady zoom up and down the court, with control, protecting the basketball, and taking it to the basket- Whew!  And she can jump! Love her defense and active hands/ feet. (<em>Featured photo, with ball)</em> <strong>Aniyah Carter: 4’11, G, 2024, Erlanger/Elsmere: </strong>Do not let the height of this young lady fool you- because with her 4'11 frame, she can handle the ball with confidence, sees the court very well, penetrates in the gaps of defense, and creates offense! She's not afraid to take it to the bucket. Active defender! <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="91138" first="Kaia" last="Woods"]: 5’3, PG, 2022, Royal Crown Aca., Canada: </strong>Woods has all the characteristics that make a strong point guard: outstanding passer who visualizes 2-3 plays ahead, excellent composure against pressure and full-court pressure, can launch shots inside/outside, and a hard nosed defender. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="270500" first="Uriah" last="Jennings"]: 5’8, G, 2023, Mayfield: </strong>Jennings has a nice combination of speed and a quick first step, which allows her to go past her defender and attack the basket. She proved to make buckets with contact, has nice body control, and is active all game! <strong>Zeshari Shepherd: 5’7, G, 2026, Groveport: </strong>Shepherd has a very bright future. She is very aggressive, can take the ball coast to coast, just has a great feel for the game, when to cut, when to pass the ball. She caught my attention quickly! Scary what she will be like in high school! <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="217329" first="Addy" last="Tweed"]: 5’10, F, 2024, Marysville: </strong><em>(Below with ball) </em>Remember her name, because Addy continues to grow every year. Love how she attacks the basket, under control. She rebounds well, smooth inside the paint, creating easy buckets. Her length, and athletic traits make her so strong, on both ends of the court. She is so strong inside the paint, really went after the boards, has a nice shot inside. Keep her on your watch list! <strong>Izzy Callaway: 5’7, G, 2024, Archbishop Hoban: </strong>Callaway is a fun guard to watch, with solid handles, and moves so well without the ball. She has great lead passes on transition, and she gets hot real quick from the outside! She stays in within close distance of the person she is defending. Bright future! <strong>Olivia Hines: 5’10 G, 2022, Lakota East: </strong>(<em>Below, with ball) </em>I was impressed with her floaters in the paint, and mid- range shots. She was smooth, came natural, never forced- but rather let the game come to her.
