Location: Roosevelt High School
Fresno Roosevelt HS – 48, South Pasadena HS 34
Fresno Roosevelt dominated from the start of the game and would not let up in this contest, they kept the defensive pressure on the South Pasadena squad from start to finish. South Pasadena did not score their first basket in this game until two minutes left in the first quarter, that basket was scored by Lotts Shaun. Roosevelt had a lead of 14-4 at the end of the first quarter, which showed the picture of how this game would turn out. Sisters, Allyson & Dylan Tse would step up their play in the second quarter and trim the lead to 22-17 going into the halftime period.
2021, 5’6, SG, Roosevelt HS (Fresno), Danyell Booker – Proved to be a fierce competitor on the floor, she is very skilled at scoring the ball and is a great rebounder for her team at her size. She was a walking double-double most of the season for her team, but what I liked most about her game was her determination to make her team want to win games. You could see the leadership and it was good to watch.
2021, 5’5, PG, Roosevelt HS (Fresno), Jeniece Harmon – Jeniece signed to play at Dawson this season, which is great for her, cause she is a threat on the floor at the point guard spot. She is a threat from all three levels on the floor, driving to the hoop thru contact, pulling up for midrange and stepping behind the arc to hit a three pointer. She is equally skilled at the defensive end of the floor, otherwise, coaches on the next level would not pick her up in my opinion. She ran the team with precision and won the game for her teammates, great to watch this team operate.
2022, PG/SG, South Pasadena HS, Allyson Tse – Aggressive guard type that really gets after it on the floor, one of the go to players to score on the team as an underclassmen. She is skilled with the ball handling and has good skills on the floor when it comes to get to the basket. She is a threat from the arc as well if you back off, but an all around guard with some good ball skills for the game.
2024, PG/SG, South Pasadena HS, Dylan Tse – Dylan is the other half of that underclassmen dynamic duo, she is just as skilled and also a definite threat to score the ball. These two play off of each other and make plays for their team all of the time on the floor. Most coaches would probably let these two get thier buckets and allow the other role players to beat them. They combined for about 39 points in an earlier game, but could not pull off the upset in this contest.
