Class of 2023 Rankings Update: New Additions

Entering the Rankings all the way up in the #13 spot, Johnson-Etienne is a dynamic Point Guard with outstanding ball-handling skills and passing abilities. She is quick and shifty with the ball in her hands, making her tough to stay in front of and leads to openings in the lane where she can make plays.

Grace Carstensen Grace Carstensen 5'11" | SG Nazareth Academy | 2023 State IL , 5’10” Guard, Nazareth Academy

Joining the Rankings at #31, Carstensen is an athletic Shooting Guard with a great jumper and has the ability to put the ball on the floor and attack off the dribble. She consistently gets to the rim with ease and uses her length to finish over defenders in the lane. Grace is a versatile defender who can guard the 1-4 and often turns steals into easy transition buckets.

Rachel Kaus Rachel Kaus 6'0" | PF Lake Forest | 2023 State IL , 6’0” Forward, Lake Forest

Checking in at #38 in the Class of 2023 Rankings update, Kaus is a talented stretch Forward who stretches the floor with her ball-handling and mid-range jump shot. She uses her strength to attack the paint from the wing and finish through contact around the hoop. Rachel has exceptional court vision and passing skills and can guard a variety of players on defense with her length and athleticism.

Addy McLeod Addy McLeod 5'9" | CG Champaign Central | 2023 State IL , 5’7” Guard, Champaign Central

Coming in at #42 in the Rankings update, McLeod is a skilled Combo Guard who can really light it up from beyond the three-point line. She is a high IQ athlete who moves well without the ball to set herself up for high percentage looks. Addy constantly shows great confidence and a high motor when she’s on the court.

Sophia Remmel Sophia Remmel 5'7" | CG Dunlap | 2023 State IL , 5’7” Guard, Dunlap

Entering the Rankings at #45, Remmel is a do-it-all Combo Guard who can run the Point or score from the wing. She uses her strength and a quick first step to get past her opponent and into the lane where she regularly makes good decisions with the ball. Sophia shoots it well from deep and plays tough on-ball defense against opposing guards.

Lily Montalvo Lily Montalvo 5'5" | PG Whitney Young | 2023 IL , 5’5” Guard, Whitney Young

Joining the Rankings at #46, Montalvo is a crafty Point Guard who can put up big assist numbers with her slick ball-handling and facilitating abilities. She can create her own shot or move around to find openings without the ball and is a knock-down shooter from beyond the three-point line with deep range.

Chloe Sisco Chloe Sisco 5'7" | PG Prairie Central | 2023 State IL , 5’6” Guard, Prairie Central

Checking in at #53 in the Class of 2023 Rankings update after a standout Sophomore season and impressive Spring on the AAU circuit, Sisco is another high-scoring Point Guard who can light up the scoreboard in a hurry. She’s a terrific shooter with ‘in-the-gym’ range and never fails to display confidence on the court. Chloe also does a great job of getting her defender off-balance so that she can attack the paint and make plays in the lane.

Katie Barger Katie Barger 5'8" | PG Bloomington | 2023 State IL , 5’8” Guard, Bloomington

Coming in at #62 in the Rankings update, Barger is a reliable Point Guard who consistently gets the job done at both ends of the floor. She attacks the lane strong and finishes with good touch around the rim, while also being able to knock down jumpers at a high rate. Katie is an obvious leader on the floor by the constant effort she gives to help her team win.
