<strong>Florida Roundup: News Around Florida Volume 15</strong>

<em>A number of 2021s have been coming off the board to play next season at the collegiate level. Let’s take a look around Florida on what has been going on in the last couple weeks. </em>
<strong><img class=" wp-image-296083 alignright" src="https://prephoops-uploads.s3.amazonaws.com/pgh/uploads/2021/06/Danielle-Luckey-IMG_6121-e1623243678146-241x300.jpg" alt="" width="189" height="235" />[player_tooltip player_id="91522" first="Danielle" last="Luckey"]</strong> (Pine Forest HS) is undersized 5’10 forward who is not afraid to mix it up down low. She plays hard on both ends of the floor and has a high motor. She was a major contributor to Pine Forest accumulating a 15-1 record on the season. Luckey has signed to play collegiately at Pensacola State University.

McDowell<strong> </strong>led her team to the District Title at Monsignor Edward Pace High School in Miami, FL. A Miami Herald All-Dade Honorable Mention, she averaged 11 points, 8.0 rebounds and 1.6 steals during her senior season. She was named to the All-Star team for Miami-Dade and finished her prep career as an honor student with a 4.1 GPA.
<strong>[player_tooltip player_id="91513" first="Erica" last="Turral"]</strong> is a 5’2 guard who had a solid high school career at Lincoln High School and then concluded her final season at Florida A&M. Erica along with her sister <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="91480" first="Erin" last="Turral"]</strong> (Stony Brook signee) helped the Baby Rattlers to a 10-3 record and an appearance in the state championship game. Erica finished the season as the team’s 3<sup>rd</sup> leading scorer with 8.2 points per game to go along with 3.5 steals per game. She has signed to attend Webber State University.
<strong>[player_tooltip player_id="248426" first="Markayla" last="Clinton"]</strong> averaged 12.1 points and 2.9 rebounds for Atlantic HS this season. The 5’10 Guard is signed and headed to Palm Beach State.
<strong><img class=" wp-image-296073 alignleft" src="https://prephoops-uploads.s3.amazonaws.com/pgh/uploads/2021/06/Maizie-King-VC-IMG_7382-225x300.jpg" alt="" width="135" height="180" />[player_tooltip player_id="249377" first="Maizie" last="King"]</strong> was sensational this past season for Oviedo HS averaging 11.5 points and 4.3 rebounds per game. The 6’0 wing is an extremely active defender and rebounder. She is headed to Ohio where she has signed to attend Ohio Dominican University.
<strong>[player_tooltip player_id="248597" first="Madison" last="Vaira"]</strong> has solid size and skill. The 6’3 Center averaged 4.8 points and 6.9 rebounds per game for Newsome HS. She is headed to Southeastern University.

Over the past 4 seasons at Keys Gate and Somerset Academy Silver Palms, <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="91488" first="Amari" last="Hunter"]</strong> established herself as one of the state’s most prolific scorers. The 5’6 PG/SG is capable of knocking it down from anywhere inside half court and is not afraid to launch it. The scoring guard is headed to USC Salkehatchie.
<strong><img class="size-medium wp-image-296080 alignleft" src="https://prephoops-uploads.s3.amazonaws.com/pgh/uploads/2021/06/Ambar-Ramirez-Barry-IMG_8138-copy-300x234.png" alt="" width="300" height="234" />[player_tooltip player_id="244207" first="Ambar" last="Ramirez"]</strong> did a little bit of everything for Miami Christian this past season, helping lead them to a 2A State Championship. Ramirez is a 5’5 Guard with a strong build that can play multiple positions and uses her strength well from the perimeter spot. She averaged 7.2 points, 3.2 rebounds, 3.0 assists, and 2.4 steals per game and has signed to attend Barry University and continue her basketball career at the collegiate level.
