Year 11 of the Sunshine State Showdown once again delivered at a high level, selling out this past weekend across two premier venues in Wesley Chapel and Tampa, Florida. With games hosted at Wiregrass Ranch Sports Campus and The Skills Center, the event featured 11 courts buzzing with action, 157 teams competing, and over 25 media outlets in attendance alongside double-digit college coaches evaluating talent throughout the weekend. Programs from across Florida and Georgia were well represented, with national powerhouse [program_tooltip program_id='712377' first='All' last='Iowa Attack'] also in the building, creating a loaded atmosphere from start to finish. As one of the premier spring stops in the Southeast to kick off the travel ball season, the Sunshine State Showdown continues to set the standard for competition, exposure, and elite-level matchups. Here are some Class of 2028 players who made noise at SSS:    Shaw put together a strong showing this weekend with EGB Silver 16U EYBL and continues to establish herself as a high-upside prospect in Florida's 2028 class. With an athletic 6' frame, she consistently took advantage of one-on-one matchups by getting downhill and finishing at the rim with confidence. She also flashed the ability to knock down jumpers which adds another layer to her offensive game that defenders have to respect. On the defensive end, Summer made her presence felt with activity and effort, showing she can impact both sides of the floor. With her combination of size, athleticism, and developing skill set, she's a name that continues to trend upward.     Kelli made a strong impression with AIA by showcasing elite size and a natural ability to score the ball in the 2028 class. Her quick, efficient release allows her to get shots off cleanly, even with defenders closing out, and she consistently proved she can knock down perimeter looks at a high rate. With her combination of length and shot-making ability, Kelli creates tough matchup problems and has the tools to be one of the most high-level scoring threats in the country as she continues to grow her game. At 5'10, she flashed real three-level scoring ability, consistently attacking downhill, getting to the rim, and putting pressure on defenses throughout the weekend. Her expanded offensive role highlighted her confidence and versatility when showing she can create and capitalize in multiple ways. On the defensive end, she stayed active and brought relentless effort every possession and impacted the game beyond just scoring. With this kind of performance on a bigger stage, Camila is positioning herself as a clear stock riser in Florida's 2028 class.     Kinsley stood out as one of the most polished and versatile offensive players in the gym this weekend by using her length effectively to finish over solid defense with some impressive, creative touches at the rim. Her shot is a major weapon that features great rotation, clean form, and a high release that makes it tough to contest. She was just as effective in the mid-range and showed the ability to score on the move which adds to her overall scoring package. Beyond that, Kinsley made smart, timely passes that created easier looks for her teammates and proved she's not just a scorer but a well-rounded offensive playmaker.     Jocelyn impressed with her smart, controlled style of play by consistently setting the pace for her team without ever rushing the game. From young players studying her game to being the first one in the gym, her presence and approach set the tone. There's a reason she's ranked #3 in the country in her class and has been competing up on 17U for a perennial program—her game is advanced, poised, and built for high-level play. She plays off two feet with great balance, gets strong elevation on her jumper, and is comfortable hitting tough shots like the turnaround. What stands out just as much is her unselfishness, consistently making the right play and elevating those around her.     Ke'Mora stood out with her relentless motor and ability to consistently put pressure on the defense by using her quickness to beat defenders off the dribble and generate paint touches. She showed versatility finishing at the rim by converting in a variety of ways while embracing contact and continues to grow in confidence with her jumper. On the defensive end, she's just as impactful—solid on the ball, active in passing lanes, and capable of picking up full court with ease. With her energy, two-way presence, and continued offensive development, Ke'Mora is trending upward in the 2028 class.     Ari showed promising signs in her return from injury, getting back into rhythm while still making a strong impact across the board. She displayed good body control and used her size and length effectively to block shots and elevate for rebounds and finishes inside. Offensively, she can knock down smooth turnaround jumpers and showed her versatility when running the floor for transition buckets while also stretching the defense with her ability to hit from three. Defensively, her size at the guard position allows her to guard multiple spots, making her a true mismatch. As she continues to regain full form, Ari's next-level versatility makes her one to watch.
