She comes out of nowhere and can block shots like someone who’s over 6 feet tall! Athletic, quick, and makes smart plays for the team.
Morgan Flannery- 5’6, 2022, Overtime Performance 2022, Madison Southern H.S.: When I watch players, I look much deeper than the points and rebounds. I look at the little things that lead to big results for the team. And Flannery’s defense is fundamentally spot on! She closes out on her play perfectly, with hands up, sitting low, and as a result, keeps her opponent from scoring.
Nykesha Sanders- 5’7, 2021, Hype Athletics 2022, Chandler Park Academy H.S. (MI): (Below with ball) Sanders is a firecracker on the court, always moving, creating offense, and just as lethal on the defensive end. Beautiful passer, quick reactions, and really leads transition well! Her eyes are always up, looking for her teammates, taking the pull up jumper. Her defensive pressure is fantastic!
Savana Stewart- 5’4, 2022, MSF Flight 2022, Michigan Center H.S.: Stewart is a fiesty guard, light feet, and boy is she a pest on defense! Doesn’t allow much breathing room, and has active hands- loves to pick pockets!
Haley Polston- 6’1, 2022, Indiana Showcase 2022 Gorman, Martinsville H.S.: She has a great presence on the court, with her size and strength! Reliable hands that are ready to catch the ball. She relocates well on the court, and clears the way for guards to attack the basket. Cleans up the inside with shots and rebounds. (Featured Photo)
