As we finish up the most recent quarterly rankings updates, our focus is now on the young but intriguing 2027 class. While there is still a lot of time left in their playing careers, several members of this class have flashed upside, so regardless of where a player might be ranked right now, there is still a lot of time left in their careers and the potential for all of these ladies to continue to grow their game. Below is a look specifically at the top power forward and center prospects in 2027.

NOTEWORTHY UPDATES:
Rylee Canaan

, 2027, 6-1 PF, Evansville Memorial H.S.
– Watching Rylee earlier this Spring, I was pretty impressed with her motor, toughness, and competitive fire. She battles in the mid-post or at the basket, but she also has some face-up skill. I also like how she’s playing with physicality. She has nice length, she’s a solid all-around athlete, and she has a great feel for the game.

Crown Point | 2027

, 2027, 6-4 C, Crown Point H.S.
– Ivy is a powerful, broad-shouldered, true post with a lot of potential. She has a lot of length, and she might still grow another inch or two. She keeps the ball high, finishes above defenders, and once she builds her core strength, she could be an overpowering nightmare for opponents. She also has some touch to 15-feet.

Gibson Southern | 2027
State
IN
, 2027, 6-2 C/PF, Gibson Southern H.S.
– Paige had a really nice Freshman season, but her state tourney run and Spring have been even better. She is a strong athlete, she seeks contact, and she does a nice job of establishing position and controlling the block at both ends of the floor. She has some skill facing the basket, and she should eventually become a face-up ‘4’.
Kailey Skurka

Lake Central | 2027
IN
, 2027, 5-11 PF, Lake Central H.S.
– Kailey is a long, wiry-strong, active, and fairly athletic forward. She wins a lot of 50-50 balls because of her motor, and she’s willing to do a lot of the “little things” to help her team(s) win. She has solid mid-post skill, and I can see her stretching her game to the perimeter. She might even still grow another inch or two.
Emily Zack

6'1" | PF
Zionsville Community | 2027
IN
, 2027, 6-0 PF, Zionsville Community H.S.
– Emily is all potential right now, because she is extremely long and wiry, she’s likely still growing, and once she starts to add some strength to her frame, she could be a problem. She is active, fairly athletic, and somewhat bouncy, plus she has skill. She’s a wait-and-see kid, because she just needs to finish growing first.
