This tournament has been competitive since day one. With over 20 teams, each team seemed to have at least one high-impact player. Listed below are a couple more standouts that made a difference for their teams.
<p style="text-align: center;"><strong>Aubrey Galvan| 2025 Point Guard |Deerfield</strong></p>
Keep an eye out, an ear open, and a camera rolling! Aubrey is special. Age is honestly a number, and her feel for the game as a ...FRESHMAN proves that. She has no ceiling. Her clear passion for the game shows in her play. Offensively? Fearless. She can drive, shoot.. but then there’s her IQ. She passes with patience and accuracy. Defensively? Menace. She wants the ball in her hands, it’s just that simple. Remember the name.
<p style="text-align: center;"><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="148127" first="Katy" last="Eidle"]| 2023 High Caliber Scoring Guard| Hershey</strong></p>
Smooth as they come. Katy’s ability to switch gears while controlling the pace of the game is a skill that players need to put the utmost amount of work into. She has vision, patience, and creativity. The way she scores the ball is effortless. She’s liable to go off for 20+ without breaking a sweat. Her ball-handling isn’t flashy, but it’s disciplined. She knows her spots, and she knows how to get a shot off. Defensively, shes a ball hawk and she never gives up on a play. Her potential has no cap.
<p style="text-align: center;"><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="201068" first="Emily" last="Galvan"] |2022 Combo Guard| Rolling Meadows</strong></p>
"Keep Shooting, Next Shot." Emily shoots with no memory. Her release is perfect. Quick, high-arched, and consistent. Her play around the rim is just as good. She’s creative, aware, and capable of finishing tough layups. She’s a bucket getter and a great playmaker. She plays with a fire that most players let burn out when it’s not going their way. Emily will find a way to get her team to a win.
<p style="text-align: center;"><strong>Nicole Davis| 2022 Lockdown Guard| Rolling Meadows</strong></p>
To be a great defender, you have to be willing to accept the challenge. Nicole will happily do that. Watching her switch or even maneuver around a pick to stay with her man is a pleasure to watch. She’s very disciplined and technical when defending. Great footwork, low, and hands are always active. Though she can score in a half-court setting, most of her buckets come from a fast break. Most of these fast breaks are started and finished by her, due to her disruptive defense. The effort she gives will keep her on the court from start to finish.
<p style="text-align: center;"><strong>Gwen Adler| 2024 Guard| Barrington</strong></p>
The stat sheet doesn’t show what matters most. Effort, heart, and the will to win. Gwen’s play standouts because it’s the dirty work that doesn’t show on highlights. Whether it’s playing every minute of the game, diving for loose balls, or getting extra possessions for your team. Gwen will make an impact. She knows her role and for that reason, she shines on the court. She has the ability to defend and steal the ball without fouling. She’s open to guarding whoever, whenever. You hate playing her, but would love her on your squad.
