On the girls side Kingco has had a lot of tough match up and revelries through out the years. This season has been no different. With this shorten season these young women have made every moment on the court count. Here are a few top scores from Kingco.

Hughes is a 5’10 Senior Captain who averaged 21.4 points and grabbed 9.8 rebounds per game. Leading her team to a undefeated season Hughes also showed off her defensive ability this season adding 2.8 steals. Hughes is listed as a power forward but has the speed and quickness of a guard, and has great vision with a season high of 6 assists. What is most impressive is her ability to protect the ball and keep her turn over low. Her grit and toughness makes her a great competitor.

Stephens is a Senior Forward from Issiquah High School, who averaged 18.5 points and grabbed 7.7 rebounds on the season. She has also had multiple double games with scoring and rebounds. Her footwork on the block is impressive and you can see she has put in the work in the off season to develop and nice inside presents. Stephens works hard on the defensive end as well have a season high of 4 blocks, giving her team great rim protection. Do not let her inside game fool you if left open she will knock down the jump shot, she has made 4 3’s in a single game this season.

Thompson is a 6’0 Junior Guard from Woodinville High School, who averaged 17 points and 7 rebounds on the season. Thompson also had a very impressive triple double this season scoring 23 points, grabbing 12 rebounds and 10 assists. This is a young player who understand the game and plays both ends of the floor at a high level. What impressed me the most is her ability to crash the offensive glass, it shows her intensity and willingness to hustle every play. She will have a great senior season next year and will be a player to watch.

Schmidt is a 6’2 Sophomore from Eastlake High school, who averaged 15.6 points and 8 rebounds. As only a sophomore Schimdt had a very impressive season, playing strong on both ends of the floor. She provides great rim protection, having a season high of 5 blocks in a single game. She has incredible timing at her age keeping her fouls to a minimum. As she devolpes over the next 2 year I think she will make some noise all around the Seattle area.
