The Prep Girls Hoops Circuit came strong again this past weekend. They hosted the Victory Region Finals in Fishers, Indiana There was an incredible collection of talent and some talented stars that put on star like performances on the perimeter. Let’s take a look, with a heavy Michigan lean, at some of the players that were productive on the perimeter this weekend.

I had a focus on Michigan players, but couldn’t leave Cleveland off my list. She was an absolute sniper in the game that I saw her play. The defense couldn’t give her time to set up and fire without pressuring her on the close out, or else she was automatic. Cleveland made a living behind the arc and at the free throw line.
<strong>[player_tooltip player_id="178868" first="Asia" last="Cochran"] (2023, 5-8, Hype Athletics 2022, Westfield Prep)</strong>
<img class="alignnone size-medium wp-image-291437" src="https://prephoops-uploads.s3.amazonaws.com/pgh/uploads/2021/05/Asia-Cochran1-3.jpg" alt="" width="300" height="200" />
Cochran got it done at both ends of the floor last weekend. She consistently beat offensive players to their spot and pressured them to make plays. Cochran has clearly been taught proper positioning in a half court trap, making her incredibly dangerous when she does it. Offensively, she showed the ability to push the tempo off the dribble.
<strong>[player_tooltip player_id="230802" first="Sela" last="Lefler"] (2023, 5-8, UTS Elite 2023, North Farmington)</strong>
<img class="alignnone size-medium wp-image-291923" src="https://prephoops-uploads.s3.amazonaws.com/pgh/uploads/2021/05/Sela-Lefler-1.jpg" alt="" width="300" height="200" />
One thing is perfectly clear when watching Lefler play: She has a VERY high basketball IQ and is very efficient on the perimeter. She’s a versatile guard that played on and off the ball. Lefler showed her solid jumper that has 3 point range. She was impressive pushing the tempo with her dribble.
<strong>[player_tooltip player_id="138410" first="Ndidiamaka" last="Ndukwe"] (2021, 6-0, Hype Athletics 2022, Summit Academy)]</strong>
<img class="alignnone size-medium wp-image-289517" src="https://prephoops-uploads.s3.amazonaws.com/pgh/uploads/2021/05/Ndidiamaka-Ndukwe-2-300x168.jpg" alt="" width="300" height="168" />
Ndukwe was virtually unstoppable at times at the Victory Region Finals. Whether she got the ball behind the arc or mid range, she was strong enough to get bulldog buckets. Ndukwe was very effective using both hands to attack the rim. She was a solid rebounder on the weekend, rising up high for boards.
<strong>[player_tooltip player_id="147727" first="Nevaeh" last="Williams"] (2022, 5-8, Michigan Goonies 2022, Mt. Clemens)</strong>
<img class="alignnone size-medium wp-image-288267" src="https://prephoops-uploads.s3.amazonaws.com/pgh/uploads/2021/05/Neveah-Williams-300x286.jpg" alt="" width="300" height="286" />
Williams looked dynamic at the event. She showed very good body control on her finishes at the rim. Williams had a really nice touch on a floating finish. She aggressively looked for her shots and her chances to impact the game.
