Alaysia Gude Alaysia Gude 5'9" | CG LaVega | 2025 State TX -5’8 (Waco United) LaVega HS
Gude is long and athletic, how long, well she picks the ball out of the air with ease playing the passing lane and how athletic, that first step is somewhat devastating as she blows by defenders in the half-court yet in the open court, that, coupled with her strides makes her hard to handle, so do the full court passes with either hand, on the money yet she can drop the long ball as well as score and finish with either hand off the dribble and her defense is solid
Ananda Jennerson Ananda Jennerson 5'8" | CG Southwest Christian | 2025 State TX -5’8 (Pro Skills)
Jennerson is so poised under pressure that she just makes everything look easy, whether it’s handling the press or getting out of the trap, she does both yet spots open teammates but on top of that, she creates her shot nicely under pressure and showed she could knock it down with a hand in her face. She has the next level frame right now, which helps her finish with contact but she also understands how to distribute first yet get hers in the flow and as an added bonus, she plays good defense
Milania Jordan Milania Jordan 5'10" | CG Southlake Carroll | 2025 State TX -5’7 (Team Jordan)
Jordan is explosive off the dribble, as well as off the ground to drop the mid to long-range and she understands something very important, how to to set the defender up and by her being able to score off the jumper or attacking, the defender sometimes gives her too much room and she nails it yet on the flip, guarding her too tightly might leave them standing but either way, she sees the floor and makes on the money passes plus she can control the tempo
Kaylinn Kemp Kaylinn Kemp 5'9" | CG Duncanville | 2025 State TX -5’8 (Pro Skills)
Kemp might have been called a #D1Lock early by me, I’ll look it up later but hold on, okay I said she had “D1 written all over her” so the same thing and since that was probably in 2017, my genius never ceases to amaze me yet she is amazing me even more because she showed me she could take over a game on both ends, that an easy from the guard spot but she can score in droves, off the jumper or the dribble, and her pressure defense leads to steals or turnovers, not to leave out she can go C2C after rebounding
Ruke Ogbevire Ruke Ogbevire 5'7" | CG Fulshear | 2025 State TX -5’8 (Texas Phenoms) Fulshear HS
Ogbevire probably has one of the best first steps in her class and she attacks viciously yet under control and her acrobatic finishes after contact have already amazed me, pre-high school, but so has her play in transition where she has her head up and makes pin-point passes on the money or showing that she can nail the “stop and pop” jumper, her ability to frustrate players on defense tickles me because she uses a lost art, “beating the player to the spot” if you’re a novice, you won’t get it, great that she isn’t because she definitely gets it, as in steals for baskets going the other way
