Coaches Box Atlanta Summer Slam-Top Guards

Atlanta Summer Slam bought out some of the best guard play. I had the best seat in the house live from the coaches box. Here are few of the players that stood out with outstanding guard play. <strong>Ezaria Adams</strong> I 5’7 I PG I 2023 I FBC Nightmares Teal Adams showed her ability to control the game for her team. Used the screen and roll to perfection. Knows how to use the screen to get to the basket and score through contact. Has a lot of moves in her bag to avoid her defenders. Great ball handling ability. Pushes the ball well in transition. <strong>Mariah Reed Jones</strong> I 5’8 I PG I 2023 I Mavs Elite Strong Thompson Jones athletic ability is uncanny. She runs the floor well and is always looking for scoring opportunities. Uses her length to get out in the passing lanes and create turnovers in transition. Workhorse on both ends of the floor. She provided the energy off the bench for her team. The spark plug. <strong>Jayla Stirgus</strong> I 5’4 I PG I 2023 I Mavs Elite Strong Thompson Hardnosed defender that really pressures the ball. Solid handles which allow her to run the offense effectively. Great at penetrating and kicking to the shooters on the wing. Her skill set allows how to push the ball well in transition. Her assist to turnover ratio is off the charts. Does a great job of taking care of the basketball. Great court vision. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="195600" first="Ky’Shonna" last="Brown"]</strong> I 5’10 I PG I 2022 I Team Elite Peake Long athletic guard that knows how to create her shot. When her team needed a bucket they could count on Brown to give them one. Moves well without the basketball. Her size allows her to play inside out. Crashes the boards hard. Knows how to slash through the defense. Has a nice mid range game. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="263346" first="Trinity" last="Barrow"]</strong> I 5’3 I PG I 2023 I Team Elite Peake Barrow is a solid floor general. Can attack the basket strong and score through contact. High IQ guard that gets her team going. Knows how to score at all 3 levels. Uses her quickness to create turnovers which lead to easy baskets. <strong>Miriam Prince</strong> I 5’8 I PG I 2023 I MBA Bobcats Prince is a difference maker on both ends of the floor. Has a nice stroke from deep and a nice pull up jump shot. Knows how to get out in the passing lanes and pressure 94ft. Attacks the basket hard in transition. <strong>Kiana Wilson</strong> I 5’8 I PG I 2022 I FBC Nightmares Wilson is a game changer. Plays with so much speed and poise. Always looking to get her teammates involved. Uses her speed to blow by her defenders and get to the basket. Pushes the ball extremely well in transition. Sees the court well and knows how to find her open teammates. Has the ability to take over the game. Stock riser.
