<strong>Day 2 Stand Outs – 2021 Nike Girls EYBL Nationals </strong> By Michael Wholey 7/22/21 11:00 PM EST <em>The <strong>2021 Nike Girls EYBL Nationals </strong>kicked off this week in Augusta, GA.  The event welcomes the 32 Nike Sponsored travel programs from across the country.  We got a chance to check out the Miami Suns and Essence Girls Basketball 17U and 16U teams as they are the two Nike sponsored programs in the state of Florida. Here are the standouts from the afternoon session of day 1 and some day 2 players that performed well.   </em> &nbsp; <strong><span style="font-size: 18pt;">2022</span></strong> <strong><img class="alignleft wp-image-279424" src="https://prephoops-uploads.s3.amazonaws.com/pgh/uploads/2021/04/IMG_5096-141x300.jpeg" alt="" width="129" height="274" />[player_tooltip player_id="91577" first="Amiya" last="Evans"]</strong> – 6’2 Forward – Miami Suns 17U Team Fowles Strong post that has mass and is a major presence in the paint.  She has a really good lower base and is a load down low.  When she establishes herself on the block, she is impossible to move! Big-time, big-time rebounder.  High major D1 college prospect. &nbsp; <strong><img class=" wp-image-279425 alignright" src="https://prephoops-uploads.s3.amazonaws.com/pgh/uploads/2021/04/IMG_5098-203x300.jpeg" alt="" width="139" height="205" />[player_tooltip player_id="91557" first="Sydney" last="Shaw"]</strong> – 5’9 Guard – Miami Suns 17U Team Fowles Plays as a scoring point guard but more of a natural combo guard as a college prospect.  She can play with the ball but is also very effective off the ball.  When she catches ball on the wing and in scoring positions, she is dangerous! Capable of being instant offense at any moment in the game going on 6, 8, 10-0 run by herself! &nbsp; <strong><span style="font-size: 18pt;">2023</span></strong> <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="243924" first="Rhema" last="Collins"] – 6’2 Wing / Forward </strong>– Miami Suns 17U Team Fowles Major stock riser of the spring / summer.  Has gone from unknown to picking up a number of high major D1 BCS offers.  Originally from Bahamas, she is legit 6’2 and is very versatile and athletic. <strong> </strong> <strong><img class=" wp-image-247333 alignleft" src="https://prephoops-uploads.s3.amazonaws.com/pgh/uploads/2021/01/IMG_7951-e1611003790540-214x300.jpg" alt="" width="124" height="173" />[player_tooltip player_id="219942" first="Reina" last="Green"] </strong>– 5’9 Guard / Wing – Miami Suns 16U Team Larkins Potential! Potential! Potential! Strong guard with super solid frame that has a college ready body.  She has a big-time upside! Green has one of the biggest verticals I have seen on the road this spring/summer and she does a great job rebounding from the perimeter position. <strong> </strong> <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="219935" first="Aicha" last="Keita"]</strong> – 6’1 Wing – Miami Suns 16U Team Larkins Very, very long wing/forward.  Game is raw but has a ton of potential as she grows into her body, gets stronger, and becomes more coordinated.  Her length and wingspan allow her to get hands on a ton of balls! <strong>Sofia Mendez</strong> – 5’8 Guard – Miami Suns 16U Team Larkins Skilled, scoring guard who can play both the 1 and the 2.  She has a high basketball IQ, plays smart, and is a good decision maker.  She has an efficient floor game, shoots a high percentage from the field, and has a scorers mentality. &nbsp; <span style="font-size: 18pt;"><strong>2024</strong></span> <strong><img class=" wp-image-243114 alignright" src="https://prephoops-uploads.s3.amazonaws.com/pgh/uploads/2021/01/Kamryn-e1609794993581-174x300.jpeg" alt="" width="98" height="169" />[player_tooltip player_id="221678" first="Kamryn" last="Corporan"]</strong> – 5’5 Guard – Miami Suns 16U Team Larkins Skinny, slender, athletic scoring point guard.  Her slight build causes her to struggle vs bigger/stronger players but she has an explosive first step.  She is a savvy scorer who knows how to attack the basket off the dribble and get to the rim. &nbsp; <strong>Sanaa Tripp </strong>– 5’8 Point Guard – Essence Girls Basketball 17U TipHayes Purple Quick, small, steady guard who pushes the tempo and is aggressive attacking the rim in transition.  She <span class="css-901oao css-16my406 r-poiln3 r-bcqeeo r-qvutc0">was impressive today. Playing 2 years up in 17U she is a quick, steady guard who pushes tempo. Good in open court with breakdown 1v1 moves.</span> &nbsp; <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="248320" first="Trinity" last="Turner"]</strong> – 5’6 Point Guard – Essence Girls Basketball 17U TipHayes Purple Really talented young guard.  Her combination of quickness and athleticism combined with a skilled offensive skill set and aggressive play is impressive.  Explosive step with major scoring ability.  High major college player!<span class="css-901oao css-16my406 r-poiln3 r-bcqeeo r-qvutc0">   Major scoring ability.
