Let me say this again, I was there on day 2 to catch the San Antonio Lady Hoops 2023 Gold with [player_tooltip player_id="204181" first="Chayse" last="Goetz"], Emery Black, Zaadiyah Stovall, and all of their talented teammates that I'm dropping a free story on later today yet by watching them win the 16U Gold B Division, I had a chance to catch the next wave of Texas talent, Lady Jets Lewis, as well as this squad who I really wasn't going to watch because I thought they were a team from New Orleans whose "director" attempted to put me in my place years ago, after putting his squad out there in the 7th grade, 5 #D1Locks later, he got the big head yet I said, you know what, it's about the kids and to top it off, this squad is from Maryland so even when I lose, I win but so will these young ladies who are just entering high school &nbsp; <strong>2025</strong> <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="239434" first="Amori" last="Jarrett"]-5'8 PG</strong> Jarrett's dad should be thanked by the parents for this article because, 2 things, had I not heard him say these players were heading to high school and they were not the ELEVATE from Louisiana, this probably wouldn't have happened, I know what I said in the opening paragraph but I changed my mind again. What also changed my mind was seeing his daughter, long and athletic, that is the base and her first step is very nice because it enables her to blow by defenders, keep in mind they were going against players about to be juniors and seeing her finish after contact as well as drop the jumper were good signs, so was watching her playing the passing lane <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="239389" first="Emma" last="NuQuay"]-5'9 SF</strong> Nuquay also did a good job playing the passing lane and showed some pretty good timing to block shots yet her finishes were consistent and she did it after contact <strong>Kaliyah Murphy-6'0 SF</strong> Murphy is also long and athletic and is showing some pretty good signs as she understands how to go after the ball coming off the rim but an even brighter sign was watching her score off of putbacks <strong>Daniya Brown-5'5 SG</strong> Brown is an athletic guard that showed she could handle the ball under pressure, see the floor and peep this, create her shot under pressure <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="239414" first="Kayla" last="Washington"]-5'8 SG</strong> Washington also did a good job creating her shot but she also rebounds well from the guard position, did it against taller players because she's athletic and understands positioning <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="239390" first="Caliyah" last="DeVillasee"]-5'6 PG</strong> Devllasee is ATHLETIC and applies plenty of pressure on the defense, either in the half-court set or on the ball in a hunnid yet she also handled the ball well under pressure <strong>Kylie Torrence-6'1 P</strong> Torrence upside is intriguing, shes long and athletic, already over the magic number, and reacts well on both ends of the floor yet her defense against the older players was really impressive <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="239433" first="Madison" last="Hall"]-6'0 P</strong> Hall may not be related to Arsenio, but I feel just observing her size and frame she will be a hit. She was injured and did not play and before anyone questions what I say or have said, I called [player_tooltip player_id="135363" first="R'Mani" last="Taylor"] a #D1Lock in the 5th grade observing her dribble in STREET CLOTHES, she's one of the top players in 2021 Texas, has D1 offers on the table and remember, there is no ME <strong>2026</strong> <strong>Jaila Lilly-6'0 C</strong> Lilly has the frame and the picture is being painted as she understands how to use her body on both ends of the floor, does not back down, all good signs, and understands how to BATTLE &nbsp;
