Insider Exposure Summer Slam: Shooters

Getting the ball through the hoop is obviously the goal in basketball. She had five 3’s early in the second half of a game, and I feel like that has been the norm for her. She had a nice heads up play throwing the ball off of her opponent instead of taking a backcourt call. She scored driving to the basket with a nice floater as well showing her versatility as a scorer. She handles the ball effectively controlling the tempo of the game and knows how to read defenses to use them to her advantage. [player_tooltip player_id="253897" first="Ryan" last="Swilling"] | FBC Carolina Elite Meadows | 2022 Swilling had a great last game of the tournament showing off her shooting from deep at just the right time. Her three point shooting brought her team back to life giving them a chance for victory. With time running out, there’s a reason her coach designed a play specifically to get her the ball to shoot her way to victory. She moves well without the ball finding the open areas of the court to show off her shot, and her defense was aggressive staying in the face of her opponents, especially on their press. She is always ready to put up her shot no matter where she is on the court. She crashes the boards and boxes out her opponents to grab the rebound. When she is breaking a press, opponents seem to think they have stopped her, and she makes a move to get a pass by them like she does this in her sleep. She makes nice cuts without the ball looking for passes to put up her shot. Her quick reflexes on defense allow her to deflect passes. Destanee Trammell | Lady Royals | 2023 Trammell (pictured above) has had a hot summer shooting dropping a 30 piece in a game at Insider Exposure Summer Slam. She does so much more than that, too, controlling the ball and tempo for her team. She moves well making sure to shift the defense to create a nice play with her passes to her teammates. After grabbing a steal, she showed off a nice fake on her way to the basket scoring two. She has a nice crossover where she certainly sells her move one direction throwing off her defender as she blows by them the other way. She even follows shots sneaking into the paint to grab some boards.
