Welcome to the big month of July, the month that many prospects make their name known to college coaches all across the country. As teams head out to various events during the Division 1 LIVE period, I will take a look at several of the players who are uncommitted in the 2022 class as we head toward the start of their senior year.
I will be discussing them in no particular order, but today I have some from the Northwest Ohio region, all players who can play at a variety of levels in college. Stay tuned right here over the next few weeks as I take a look at more uncommitted seniors from Ohio and surrounding areas.
<span style="font-family: ’arial black’, sans-serif;"><strong><span style="font-size: 14pt;">Erin Kaufman, 6-0 PF, Ottawa Glandorf</span></strong></span>
Erin will showcase some very solid post moves with a strong up and under being her main go-to move. She can get to the line and contribute and has excellent range allowing her to step outside and score from behind the arc. Very solid defensively especially in guarding pick-and-roll plays and is a prolific rebounder. She was a state finalist last season and had an excellent spring.
<span style="font-size: 14pt; font-family: ’arial black’, sans-serif;"><strong>Sammy Hoelscher, 5-8 SG, Marion Local</strong></span>
She is a walking bucket, can score from all three levels with an above average pull-up jumper. Very good defender with above average quickness and a long wingspan. She is able to guard multiple positions with her physical skills. Playing in the MAC will prepare her for the physicality and speed of the next level.
<span style="font-size: 14pt; font-family: ’arial black’, sans-serif;"><strong>Ellie Gabel, 5-6 PG, New Knoxville</strong></span>
She is just like having another coach on the floor, and directs traffic well from her point guard spot. She is very good in the pick-and-roll offense and very strong at finishing at the rim. Ellie is also solid at defending the pick-and-roll and is strong enough to guard multiple positions and finishes defensive possessions off by being a strong rebounder.
<span style="font-size: 14pt; font-family: ’arial black’, sans-serif;"><strong>Kendall Dieringer, 5-5 PG, St. Marys</strong></span>
Kendall is a very vocal leader on the floor while controlling the game from the point guard spot. She plays both ends of the floor well and is an outstanding on-ball defender while also being able to defend full court. Very good from behind the three-point arc and can create penetration on offense.
<span style="font-family: ’arial black’, sans-serif;"><strong><span style="font-size: 14pt;">[player_tooltip player_id="92538" first="Brooklyn" last="Thrash"], 6-0 F, Elmwood</span></strong></span>
She is very aggressive on the boards and has the ability to read steals away from the play. Long and athletic, Brooklyn has put together quite a stellar prep career so far and is looking forward to her final year. Can get to the rim and finish, able to lead the break with a rebound and outlet.
