Heading into their initial high school season, the Class of 2025 is full of talented players who look to make an immediate impact on their respective teams this winter. While none of them have played a minute of high school basketball yet, several have performed well with their travel teams, or were seen at the key individual events this summer where our PGH scouts were at.
Here is another group of freshmen who land on the first ranking of this class. All of the incoming freshmen are placed on the watch list until the Spring 2022 update following their first official season.
[player_tooltip player_id="319036" first="Ana" last="Pinkerton"] - Wadsworth
Ana is a lead guard with a bright future. She is great in transition with the ball in her hands as a passer, but also has no problem getting to the rim with either hand. She is solid on the defensive end of the floor - using quickness and anticipation to make plays for her team.
[player_tooltip player_id="319382" first="Reagan" last="Riggenbach"] - Wadsworth
Riggenbach is a natural floor spacer with range that extends well beyond the 3-point line already - at a young age. As she gets stronger and matures more - she is going to be a legitimate scorer off of the basketball. She is tough and seemingly loves to compete.
[player_tooltip player_id="319077" first="Madison" last="Singer"] - Smithville
Singer - pictured above - is pretty advanced for her age. The combo-guard should be an impact player from day one for the Smithies - in the competitive Wayne County Athletic League. Madison is a good athlete with scoring potential. She has the ability to develop into a top-notch defender if she wants to be.
[player_tooltip player_id="319384" first="Sydney" last="Strouse"] - Loudonville
With multiple All-Ohioans ahead of her on the perimeter at Loudonville, Strouse may have to wait her turn to make a large impact for the Redbirds. However, in a number of events - she has shown her ability to hunt baskets and score the basketball. One of the few players with a true pull-up jumper off of the dribble. Sydney has a soft touch from the floor and good athleticism to match it.
[player_tooltip player_id="319074" first="Annaleise" last="Norris"] - Mansfield Senior
Norris can play all over the floor. She is a big and strong force, who has the potential to take over a game. Her blend of size and skill is special - especially for her age. Annaleise can score the ball through contact as a driver or on the block with an array of finishing moves. She is a very good rebounder.
