Sydney Gerossie Sydney Gerossie 5'9" | PG Pinkerton Academy | 2025 State New E – Team Saints/Pinkerton Academy – 5’8’’ – PG – ’25
I watched Gerossie play twice on Saturday, and although the first game was not her best, I liked how she bounced back in the second one. Nothing tells me more about a player’s mentality than a huge response after an off-game, and Gerossie put on a show. Effortlessly scoring off the bounce, she made the defender look silly with hesitation dribbles and pulled up three-pointers with ease. What was most impressive about Gerossie was how well she controlled the game. She read the defense well and was cognizant of when to attack and create for herself or to facilitate and defer to her teammates. It was also fun to watch the chemistry between her and ’24 top 10 prospect, Elizabeth Lavoie Elizabeth Lavoie 5'11" | SG Pinkerton Academy | 2024 State New E , in the backcourt; which is a duo everyone should have their eyes on going forward.
Olivia Murray Olivia Murray 5'8" | CG Bishop Guertin | 2023 State New E – BDS/Bishop Guertin – 5’8’’ – SG – ’23
Murray came out the gates on fire and kicked off the showcase with dazzling finishes and electric sharpshooting. When Murray gets into a rhythm offensively, there is no stopping her, and she was hard to contain on Saturday. Her scoring in transition was jaw-dropping, because Murray was killing defenders with an array of hesitations and fakes while still staying under control and fluid. Her unique scoring ability at her position increased her stock vastly, and because of that, Murray will see a significant jump in her rank come September.
Molly Corcoran Molly Corcoran 5'7" | PG Tabor | 2026 State New E – Lady Rivals/BCA – 5’7’’ – CG – ’26
Corcoran was utterly ridiculous over the weekend and was a walking highlight reel all day long. She has always been a fantastic playmaker, and her court vision is elite. Some of the passes Corcoran made you get out of your seat! She was throwing alley-oops, full-court baseball passes, and flashy no-look dimes, too. Her contested shooting off the dribble was out of this world. It did not matter how much the defender got in Corcoran’s kitchen; she made them pay with tough fadeaways and pullups. Her three-point shooting was on the money, and no one could stay in front of her in isolation sets, which led to her dominating the showcase.
Kellyn Preira Kellyn Preira 5'10" | SF St. Mary's | 2023 State New E – MCW Starz/St. Mary’s – 5’11’’ – SG – ’23
Preira had the best performance because no one was more efficient from the field, taking low percentage shots. Her length and size at the wing allow Preira to shoot over the defense, making the most difficult shots look easy. She has three-point range and can hit them off the dribble or catch, has a smooth mid-range package that was automatic, and when attacking the rim, she can score at will because no one on the court could challenge her at the rim. Preira rebounded well and was active on defense, getting her hands in the passing lanes, creating turnovers. I thought Preira had the best all-around performance at the Elite Girls Showcase and made a case for a top 30 spot in the September rankings update.
