<p class="p1">The PGH Washington Summer Showcase took place on August 14th and the talent on display was very impressive to say the least. Team 8 stood out with the number of versatile players they had including several legitimate college prospects. *All players listed are Washington based prospects unless otherwise noted</p>
<p class="p2">0 2024 5’7 PG [player_tooltip player_id="301037" first="Mya" last="Alvarado"] (East Valley HS) Crafty ball handler who finishes well with either hand at the basket. Above average three point shooter who also possesses an extremely effective mid-range jumper that keeps defenders guessing where her next shot will com from.</p>
<p class="p2">2023 5’6 PG [player_tooltip player_id="144537" first="Dulcy" last="Solomon"] (Inglemoor HS) Deceptively quick point guard. Played with a fearlessness that set her apart. Utilizes change of speed extremely well to freeze defenders. Gets to the rim with ease. Has good footwork on both the perimeter and in the post.</p>
<p class="p2">11 2025 5’4 PG [player_tooltip player_id="319092" first="Alexis" last="Wiebe"] (Tyee HS) Point guard with an incredibly good attitude and on-court demeanor. Played hard every second. Has high school ready speed and a confidence with the ball in her hands that will serve her well in her freshman campaign.</p>
<p class="p2">2023 5’6 PG [player_tooltip player_id="319093" first="Tala" last="Mitchell"] (Annie Wright HS) High IQ point guard possessing great footwork and court vision. Extremely patient. Makes good reads and plays. Has good three point accuracy when calling her own number.</p>
<p class="p2">2025 5’8 SG [player_tooltip player_id="319094" first="Jayla" last="Keowla"] (Kentridge HS)Despite her age, is already highly already adept at attacking the defense. Comfortable going left or right and finishing equally well with either hand. Player to watch this upcoming season.</p>
<p class="p2">2023 5’8 G [player_tooltip player_id="319095" first="Mandi" last="Pham"] (Mount Rainier HS) Combo guard with good size. Plays with great intensity on both ends of the floor. Aggressive on-ball defender but knows how to avoid picking up cheap fouls. Quick feet and good IQ.</p>
<p class="p2">41 2022<span class="Apple-converted-space"> </span>5’9 G [player_tooltip player_id="27932" first="Aniyah" last="Hampton"] (Hudson’s Bay HS) Well coached SG with great size. Can score from anywhere. Keeps her moves simple to beat her defenders and is highly effective doing so. Great facilitator who could potentially play either guard spot at the next level. Looks to have a big senior season.</p>
<p class="p2">45 2022 5’7 G [player_tooltip player_id="319096" first="Keira" last="Slippern"] (Issaquah HS) Definition of a combo guard. Very strong with great court vision. Pushes tempo in transition. Gets to the basket well and can finish through contact or use her floater to score over taller rim protectors.</p>
<p class="p2">47 2024 5’8 SG [player_tooltip player_id="255261" first="Danaeja" last="Romero Ah-Sam"] (Springfield HS/OR) Shooting guard with good size and skill set. Capable of being a knock down shooter. Possesses a very good step-back jumper with range to the WNBA three point arc.<span class="Apple-converted-space"> </span></p>
<p class="p2">77 2024 5’10 SG [player_tooltip player_id="301064" first="Carmen" last="Cruz"] (West Seattle HS) Extremely coachable, knock down shooter. Knows her spots and how to get to them both on the break and within an offense. Possesses a good step-back jumper with range to three.</p>
<p class="p2">97 2022 5’9 SF [player_tooltip player_id="220601" first="Isabella" last="Spencer"] (Annie Wright HS) Naturally a 3 who can easily play the 2 as well. Above average strength for her size. Lights out three point shooter who also possesses a soft touch when finishing at the basket. Plays smart defense and is very good at contesting shots.</p>
