and Springfield closed out the season with two wins and a fourth place finish in the state. She paced the Millers in scoring, averaging 20.3 points per game while hitting more 3’s than anyone else with 3.3 makes per game. She also led all players in assists with 5.7 per game and threw in 2.7 steals per game. In the final two wins of her career, Romero Ah-Sam had 27 points, 5 assists, 3 rebounds, and 3 steals against Corvallis; and 19 points, 9 assists, 5 rebounds, 2 steals, and 1 block over Mountain View. As such a versatile and smart player, Romero Ah-Sam remains one of the top uncommitted prospects in the class of 2024, and wherever she ends up, she will be one fun player to follow at the next level.

, the two-time 5A state player of the year, continues to dazzle during her senior campaign. At the POA Holiday Classic a week ago where she was named to the all-tournament team in the Diamond Division, Romero Ah-Sam had 18 points, 2 assists, 5 rebounds, and 3 steals in the win over Jesuit as well as 23 points, 4 assists, 4 rebounds, and 2 steals. None of this is surprising because Romero Ah-Sam is a hooper, plain and simple. Clearly as one of the best players in 5A for years now, she is an incredibly smart player with very few weaknesses in her game. She has multiple offers on her table, but is currently uncommitted for next season.

is one of the best high school basketball players in the state of Oregon, and considering she has not yet committed, she remains one of the best available college prospects in the class of 2024. Heading into her senior season, Ah-Sam is coming off of two consecutive 5A state player of the year awards in her sophomore and junior seasons. This of course has gone hand in hand with two consecutive league player of the year awards in the Midwestern, and she also earned OBCA first team all-state honors last season as she led the Millers to a state title while earning first team all-state tournament. Obviously with a resume like that, there is very little weakness to be found anywhere in Ah-Sam’s game: from her ability to score in any manner to her elite court vision to her high defensive intensity — she can do it all. With her returning, the Millers are set to make another deep run in the state and Ah-Sam will be one of the players that you absolutely don’t want to miss this season.
