Lexi Bugajski Lexi Bugajski 6'0" | PF New Berlin Eisenhower | 2023 State WI ’23 – New Berlin Eisenhower – This is a 6’0 with a versatile game that will translate in any gym or any style of play her team plays. She has a gift when it comes to hitting open teammates not just with good passes, but the exact right pass. She uses her size when in the post to find teammates spotting up by looking over the smaller perimeter defenders. She also uses her size to score over her shoulder on the block fairly efficiently as well. Her overall game still has a lot of room to grow, that being said she is consistently making winning plays that will probably lead to her not lose too many games in her basketball career.
Riley Spencer Riley Spencer 5'7" | CG Westosha Central | 2022 State WI ’22 – Westosha Central – Standing at 5’8 this off-ball guard does a lot of her work on offense spotting up for kick-outs from her teammates. With this role offensively she is given a lot of time to get shots up and she isn’t afraid to put it up anywhere behind the arc. However, it is on defense where she really shines, her best assets right now are her reactions. Her ability to read and react gets her a lot of steals without playing on the ball due to her being engaged and understanding where the ball handler wants to get the ball too. Getting her hands in the passing lanes is an extremely valuable tool to have if she is to be put in a zone or on the weak side perimeter in order to pick off weak passes.
Cadence Xiong ’23- West Bend East – This lead guard has to play by different rules due to her 5’1 size, but she plays bigger than that. She isn’t afraid to venture into the paint and does a good job balancing creating for herself and others. Her ability to utilize her floater against much bigger opposition in the paint really is a thing of beauty. Her ruggedness isn’t limited to the offensive side as she is willing to go above and beyond and leave her defensive assignment, within reason, to try and steal possessions from her unsuspecting opponents.
Ashley Weir ’22 – Grafton High School – A very unique 5’9 wing because she basically plays as a super defender guarding bigs and wings, along with blocking shots and jumping passing lanes on a consistent basis on defense. And on offense, she’s a bit of a throwback kind of player who is more comfortable when driving to the basket than settling for jumpers. Her game is a bit of an enigma especially defensively because she’s a lot like clay and you can make her do whatever you want her to do and she can probably do it well. Where on offense she is more single-minded, in the sense that she is going to do whatever she can in order to get to her floater or all the way to the basket. Very interesting to watch because of her ability to do almost anything on defense.
Georgia Acompanado ’25 – Greenfield High School – As an incoming freshman to a large school like Greenfield there’s a chance that this 5’6 guard doesn’t play too early, that doesn’t mean she doesn’t have talent. She brings a good poise with the ball in her hands and a silky, repeatable jumper. This is a player to keep an eye on over the next four years because she may be playing at smaller schools, but freshmen understandably have a hard time cracking a rotation at division one schools but she will be developed at her own pace and likely be playing varsity consistently in the next few years.
