Here are six players in the class of 2023 that college coaches should be watching.

Jimenez helped lead Charlotte High School to an impressive state run in the the FHSAA playoffs. D’Yanis is a knock down shooter who forces defenders to close her out beyond the 3-point line and does a great job baiting defenders to close out hard and hit them with a shot fake and gets all the way to the rim. She is crafty and savvy with the ball in her hands and makes things look easy in transition and 1v1 situations.
Fanstasia James (Oakleaf HS / FGB) 5’9 Point Guard
James is a quick, flashy slashing guard who has a knack for slicing through the defense and getting to the rim. She scores in bunches and has impressive 1st step. She is very explosive and is consistently playing downhill getting into the paint and creating havoc on opposing defenses. She is one of the state’s elite athletes and has major potential!

Keita is a long, versatile wing/forward who mainly plays on the perimeter. Her offensive game is raw but developing and she impacts the game as a shot blocker and rebounder. Her length is extremely intriguing, and she does a good job getting out, running the floor, and scoring in transition. She goes to the offensive boards hard and uses her length to get into passing lanes and gets several tips and deflections playing off the ball.
Casey Lewis (Palm Beach Lakes) 5’6 Guard
Lewis transferred over from Benjamin School and was an immediate impact scorer for Palm Beach Lakes, finishing the season averaging 9.1 points. She is a 5’9 scoring guard who has a good overall offensive and defensive game. She is a good rebounder from the guard position, does a good job anticipating on the defensive end, and knocks down open shots.

She uses her length to stay in front of opposing teams ball handlers attempting to attack the basket. Her overall production and effectiveness on the court, drastically improves with her energy. When engaged and playing hard with energy, she is an impactful player on both sides of the floor and she does a good job rebounding from the wing.

Leslie is a big guard who can shoot the cover off the ball! She shoots a high percentage from 3 and you cannot leave her open from the corner! She plays super hard on both ends of the floor and uses her high basketball IQ and vocal nature to establish herself as a team leader on any team she plays on. Her overall offensive game is developing, and she continues to add to her game and improve her athleticism, speed, and lateral quickness. In an era where there is a priority on shooting the 3, Leslie is one of the state’s top shooters and will find a way to put the ball in the basket with whatever team she plays on.
