We’ll be talking about the top three prospects from South Jersey in this article, beginning with Nile Miller Nile Miller 6'1" | PF Woodbury | 2022 State NJ , a standout forward from Paul VI, the team to beat in the region coming into this season.
Miller was very much the difference-maker for the Eagles this season in their two tilts against Cherokee, the former class of the Olympic Conference and region, but things changed this season as Paul VI beat the Chiefs in both meetings.
The Howard commit has shown off even more growth in her game over the summer, and all this leads up to what should be an incredible senior season. Her excellence on the floor combined with Hannah Hidalgo Hannah Hidalgo 5'7" | PG Paul VI | 2023 State NJ is going to be an incredible combination for the Eagles.
Right below Miller in the rankings is Veyoni Davis Veyoni Davis 5'8" | CG Moorestown | 2024 PA , the newest member of Eastern Regional as she’s on her third high school in the area after transferring to Paul VI and now Eastern.
Davis was a crucial member of Paul VI’s team this spring and is now taking her talents to another loaded roster at Eastern as she teams up with Mia Robbins Mia Robbins 5'11" | C Eastern Regional | 2022 State NJ , one of the best forwards in South Jersey.
Davis fits the guard role so well and what doesn’t show up on the stat sheet is her tenacity on the court and ability to get into her opponents’ head. She’s an extremely competitive player and plays the mind game extremely well.
It’s the exact thing that hypes her up and energizes herself on the court, so we’ll be seeing that in a big way in her senior season this coming season.
The last player that will be discussed in this article is Amaya Burch Amaya Burch 5'7" | SG Timber Creek | 2022 State NJ , an AAU teammate of Davis on Team Final, and Burch is an incredible talent in her own right at Timber Creek.
Burch added onto her fantastic career with a great junior year and a strong summer on the AAU circuit this summer, really showing off her pure scoring talent and great defense on the other side of the ball.
What is going to be key for Burch this season is if she can duplicate her previous success in previous high school seasons and continue to build off it. Burch has success on her side and we’re expecting another fantastic season from her, one that will surely attract player of the year consideration.
