2023
Kelis Grant- 5’9 SG (Texas Elite 16U 3SSB) Cedar Hill HS
Grant did a good job of attacking the rim with a deceptive first step and had success doing it with either hand but she also finished with both hands, after contact but her ability to knock down both the mid to long-range jumper kept the defenders honest and added to her getting to the rim because if they guarded her too closely she was gone
Madison Heiss-5’10 SG (Texas U 16U GUAA) Highland Park HS
Heiss is a couple of inches shy of “the magic number” see below for definition and watching her create her shot to score either off the dribble or drop the jumper was nice, so was her scoring in the flow yet I like her picking and choosing on which was to score, she has nice form and scored with a hand in her face
Jordan Devaughn-5’8 PG (Texas U 16U GUAA) Frisco Lonestar HS
Devaughn has one of those names that stick in my head because I know I heard it before, wonder if I had written anything, and voila. So FOUR years ago, that was my assessment, and my ability to see the future is almost clairvoyant with this basketball stuff so everything I said was on point, which fits because that’s she was and also where the game starts, at the 1, but 2 extra things, on the ball pressure, baseline to baseline and finishing strongly with contact needs to be added to the equation

Ashna Tambe Ashna Tambe 5'7" | CG Hockaday | 2024 State TX -5’7 CG (Texas Elite 16U 3SSB) Hockaday HS
Tambe continues to blossom on her new team as she’s able to showcase her skills against more competitive players and again, it’s not what you do, it’s who you do it against, and even though I saw what type of player she was initially, I’m that good yet she is better and continues to elevate her game. She’s heady, she’s poised, she handles the ball under pressure, she understands how to control tempo but she just keeps showing her ability to also score multiple ways, and having sold me on the mid to long-range already, her stop and pop in transition and finishing after contact keeps getting better
Adyson Burns-5’8 CG (Team Lex Breeze 2024 3SSB) New Home HS
Burns has the right last name because she does that just that to the nets and with her ability to create her shot and get to a variety of spots, her pull-up jumper is smooth yet her release is fluid, quick, and accurate. I also like how she picks and chooses how to set the defender up, she doesn’t force shots yet she also doesn’t force passes and understands how to get others involved offensively
Molly Salinas-5’10 SG (Team Lex Breeze 2024 3SSB) Shallowater HS
Salinas isn’t far away from “the magic number” and always remember I love big guards that can shoot yet, more importantly, so do college coaches and they’re the ones offering scholarships. I’ve used that countless times, it’s about repetition, well like her jumper and when she creates her shot, you know what’s coming but she drops it with a hand in her face, mid to long-range
