Our slate of 2022 rankings coverage moves forward with a focus on the shooting guard position. First up are the prospects already committed for college basketball. To date, three players in the class of 2022 are verbally committed. Each of the girls mentioned below are headed to play Division 1 basketball following their senior year at their respective high schools.
2022 5’11 SG [player_tooltip player_id="79189" first="Zahirah" last="Walton"] (Kentlake HS) is the top rated 2-guard in the state. She has good length from the wing and versatility on both sides of the ball. Walton plays an under control style of basketball, but has enough athleticism and skill to fit within an uptempo style of play. Committed to George Mason.
2022 5’11 SG [player_tooltip player_id="154199" first="Kyra" last="Gardner"] (Raymond HS) is the number two shooting guard in Washington. Gardner is an above average athlete that runs and jumps very well and it shows in her game on the floor. She gets great elevation on her pull-up and finishes well around the basket. Committed to Washington State.
2022 5’10 SG [player_tooltip player_id="230592" first="Natalie" last="Fraley"] (Kelso HS) is the third highest ranked shooting guard in the state and the third Division 1 commit for the position. Fraley has some length and versatility on the offensive end as she can score from multiple levels on the floor. She should have a really strong senior year for Kelso High School. Committed to Utah State.
