Katie Vasecka Katie Vasecka 6'2" | CG Tea Area | 2024 State SD | 6’2| Tea Area| MN Fury 15U UAA #1
Vasecka is a special talent with endless potential. Power Five schools have taken notice, as she has been in constant communication with them. The 6’2 wing player can do it all. She attacks with speed and quickness. She handles the rock with a purpose, allowing her to shoot of the dribble, over any defender.
Jaidyn Dunn Jaidyn Dunn 6'1" | PF Sioux Falls Jefferson | 2024 State SD | 6’2| Sioux Falls Jefferson| SD Network Bluestar 16U-Greg #2
Dunn recently picked up offers from Drake University and Colorado State University. The forward is coming off a really impressive summer season. She has improved so many aspects of her game. From ball handling to shooting the deep ball, Dunn’s been working expanding her skill set. This high school year, like many, will be her first season lacing them up for the new Sioux Falls Jefferson Cavaliers.
Emilee Fox Emilee Fox 5'8" | CG Mt.Vernon/Plankinton | 2024 State SD | 5’8| Mt Vernon/Plankinton| SD Attack 16U #3
I call her “Baby Em” but she plays like an grown lady. Fox is shifty and crafty. This past weekend I saw her hit a few fade always with defenders draped all over her. She also recently pick up an offer from a Power Five school in Nebraska.
Claire Sheppard Claire Sheppard 6'1" | SF Flandreau | 2024 State SD | 6’1| Flandreau| SD Attack 15U #4
Sheppard game has really changed over the year. She’s a dominate offensive player with good touch in the paint. She can step out around the perimeter and knock down shots. At first glance you may not see her as a physical player. Once its tip-off time it becomes very noticeable.
Mahli Abdouch Mahli Abdouch 5'7" | PG O'Gorman | 2024 State SD | 5’6| O’Gorman| SD Attack 15U #5
Swag is what Abdouch has and plenty of it. Not only does she have a natural feel for the game but she has genuine love for the game. Abdouch can score the ball with ease. She has an array of counter moves, deep shooting ability and a mean midrange.
Movement
Peyton Tritz Peyton Tritz 5'6" | PG Waverly | 2024 State NE | 5’4| Dakota Valley| Nebraska Attack 15U UAA #17 to #15
A slight move up for Tritz, who’s point guard skill are improving every time she steps on the court. This high school season, Tritz will fill the role left behind some upper classmates.
Jaxsyn Swift Jaxsyn Swift 5'10" | CG Sioux Falls Christian | 2024 State SD | Sioux Falls Christian| BBA Airborne | #29 to #22
Sioux Falls Christian seem to always retool. Look no further than Jaxsyn Swift Jaxsyn Swift 5'10" | CG Sioux Falls Christian | 2024 State SD . She didn’t have a major role last season but that will change this year. With so many players moving on, SFC will look to have Swift become more involved within the offense.
Aliyah McGovern-Harrington Aliyah McGovern-Harrington 5'6" | CG Sioux Falls Jefferson | 2024 State SD | 5’2| Sioux Falls Jefferson| SD Network 15U-Kasib #37 to #32
McGovern is all over the place on defense. When a coach needs a shut down defender and McGovern is on the team, please believe she is getting that assignment. She may not be those six footers everyone goes looking for but she can affect the game is so many others ways.
Maggie Taylor Maggie Taylor 6'3" | C Hill City | 2024 State SD | 6’3 | Hill City| SD Network Bluestar 16U-Greg Unranked to #6
This has been a coming out party for Taylor. She comes out and holds down the paint. A throwback post player, Taylor plays with her back to the basket. However, she has the foot speed and athleticism to move around in space. An A+ shot blocker and has a really solid mid-range shot.
Jaelyn Wendt Jaelyn Wendt 6'1" | C Harding County | 2024 State SD | 6’2| Newell | Unranked to #14
Wendt exposure was tucked away on the west side of the state. Good things we have eyes everywhere. A double double waiting to happen, Wendt hasn’t even scratched her potential. She could turn out to be an all state player.
