The 9Dime Girls Fall League begins Saturday in Fayetteville, one of the many hot beds for girls basketball in North Carolina. Many of the states top players will be taking the floor at Berean Baptist Academy over the next several weekends. Prep Girls Hoops NC takes a look at some of the top prospects to watch out in this league.
<strong>[player_tooltip player_id="217743" first="Taliya" last="Council"] (St. Pauls 2022 guard/forward)</strong>
2022 standout [player_tooltip player_id="217743" first="Taliya" last="Council"] of St. Pauls is another one of the many 910 products that play a high level on offense and defense. She can guard multiple positions and get by anyone who defends her making Council a matchup problem for most opponents. Council also rebounds at a high rate for her size and can run a teams offense.

Even at her size, [player_tooltip player_id="217744" first="Tamyra" last="Council"] finds a way to dominate the offensive and defensive glass. The rising senior is a capable scorer from anywhere on the floor and defends extremely well. Alongside her twin sister, these two are committed to play at NC A&T. They’ll be two of the top prospects in this fall league and they’ll have St. Pauls in position to make a deep playoff run this season.
<strong>Ashanti Fox (O’Neal 2025 guard)</strong>
The potential of Ashanti Fox is through the roof after an excellent summer run with the Carolina Flames 2023 EYBL team. She looked comfortable playing against high level competition being a great facilitator and a knockdown three point shooter. Fox will be playing at the O’Neal School and her arrival will give them a great chance to compete for a state title at the NCISAA 2A level.
<strong>Jahriell Murchison (E.E. Smith 2025 guard)</strong>
At a program that consistently produces high level talent, E.E. Smith has a talented freshman prospect in Jahriell Murchison. She’s coming off of a good summer with Carolina Force, a team that includes several really good prospects to keep an eye on. Murchison rarely turns the ball over and always makes the right play whether it’s to look for her own shot or make a play for a teammate.
