Darden is good in the open court transition game. She has good ball handling skills that allows her to make dribble moves in stride past her defenders for easy buckets. A solid passer that can also create points for her talented team off of her ability to find open teammates. She loves the ball in her hands and can distribute the basketball well off the pass. She is very good off the dribble creating plays for herself and teammates. She is a dominant ball handler that has flash to her game. This allows her to create off the bounce and get downhill for lay ins. She is also a playmaker that creates for her team. Amani does a great job of disrupting the offense by literally just pick pocketing the ball handler. She also anticipates well and jumps in front of the passing lanes when she is one pass away in denial. She gets a lot of points off transition buckets. She can get downhill and to the basket anytime with ease. She is able to slice up the defense. Defensively, she can be a menace on defense. She can find ways to score by knocking down perimeter shots, but one of her other biggest ways to score is by turning her defense into offense. She is super quick with her hands and feet which leads to major problems for the opposing teams. Normally when she is creating shots and scoring points it is between two to three defenders because the defense is focused on trying to find a way to stop her. An elite scorer that has swag and can do every facet of the game well. Strong on the boards and always gets matched up to defend the other team's best player. Her ranking will continue to go up as more people see her play. One of the top scorers in the state. She is a three-level scorer and also a solid defender. Janiyah definitely has not gotten the recognition so far that she deserves. This kid can play! Janiyah has a high motor and normally a smile on her face that makes her even more enjoyable to watch.
