As we keep getting closer to the tip-off of the 2021-2022 Arizona 4A High School Basketball season, let's take a look back at some of last year's top performers from behind the three-point line. This two-part list will feature players from different conferences all throughout the state and of all different classes. We are simply identifying the shooters in this division. Will these girls bring back the same energy in a few months that they had last season? We will find out soon enough.
[player_tooltip player_id="214585" first="Charlotte" last="Kelmon"] - Senior - Notre Dame Prep - 52 Three's/Season
To start us off, [player_tooltip player_id="214585" first="Charlotte" last="Kelmon"] finished off her junior season with an impressive total of 52 made three-pointers. She knocked down 41% of the shots that she took from behind the arc but that wasn't the only place that she shined for the Notre Dame Lady Saints. Kelmon averaged 12.2 points per game and 3.2 rebounds per game making herself a threat on both ends of the floor. During a win against Goldwater in early March, Charlotte went 100% from three, making all five of the looks that she got. You cannot lose this girl when guarding or she will make you pay.
Samantha Thomas - Senior - Peoria HS - 41 Three's/Season
During her junior season for the Peoria Lady Panthers, #21 Samantha Thomas lead her teammates and almost all of the 4A in most three-pointers made in a year with a total of 41 in 15 games played. Thomas had a high-scoring game of 21 points against Buckeye earlier this year where she made all of her points from the seven three's that she hit. She scored 182 points over the course of the 2021-2022 basketball season helping her team each game. The senior will find a way to get open and is not afraid to pull up from deep.
[player_tooltip player_id="137288" first="Gracelyn" last="Nez"] - Senior - Flagstaff HS - 40Three's/Season
Gracelyn was actually just talked about in another preview article released earlier this week that broke down the Arizona 4A Top Returning Scorers from the 2020-2021 season that I will link down below, but for now, we are going to focus on her ability to make shots from downtown. Finishing 40 of the 122 threes, Nez shot the ball 34% from behind the arc helping push her team to an overall record of 17-3 and an undefeated conference record of 11-0. Gracelyn is a huge asset to the Lady Eagles on multiple different levels. If you haven't seen her other featured article, check it out below!

Alina Williams - Junior - Coronado HS - 37 Three's/Season
Alina comes into the fourth place spot on our list of top returning 3-point shooters throughout the 2020-2021 high school basketball season with a total of 37 made threes and 141 points. The Lady Dons had a tough year with an overall losing record, but it did not stop Williams from doing what she knows best to make a play for her team. This five-foot-four combo guard does not back down from a fight.
[player_tooltip player_id="114254" first="Lexi" last="McNabb"] - Senior - Seton Catholic HS - 35 Three's/Season
The last preview for part one will feature Seaton Catholics, [player_tooltip player_id="114254" first="Lexi" last="McNabb"] who averaged 13.4 points per game and a total of 35 made three-pointers over the course of the season. Playing for the number three ranked team in the state by Max Preps and reigning STATE CHAMPS is no joke, but Lexi makes it look effortless. She doesn't only get the job done from downtown but has the ability to work down low to get herself a good look or knock down the mid-range jumper. The Lady Sentinels have another good team returning this year and I am looking forward to seeing how everything plays out.
