[player_tooltip player_id="259202" first="Alyssa" last="Heath"] - Senior - Mohave HS - 32 Three's/Season
Five-foot-seven, shooting guard for the Mohave Lady Thunderbirds, [player_tooltip player_id="259202" first="Alyssa" last="Heath"] starts off part two of our breakdown of the top returning three-point shooters in the Arizona 4A. Knocking down 32 threes over the course of the 2020-2021 basketball season, Heath also averaged 20.6 points per game helping her team to a 10-6 overall record. With a huge win in a close one against the Mingus Lady Marauders, she put up 39 points to secure the W. Competitive player all throughout her time in high school so I expect her to have an explosive senior year.
[player_tooltip player_id="138099" first="Jocelyn" last="Chavez"] - Sophomore - Dysart HS - 30 Three's/Season
Young gun, [player_tooltip player_id="138099" first="Jocelyn" last="Chavez"] is a superstar and another player that is featured in part one of the linked bios above, but this article is going to focus on her ability to knock down the three-ball. With 30 made threes during her freshman year for the Lady Demons, this five-foot-nine, combo guard is one to watch over the next few years. Aside from just scoring the ball, Alyssa helps her team out by getting 3.3 steals per game, 2.1 assists per game, and 5.0 rebounds per game showing the versatility of her game. She is not a one-trick pony and will continue to improve her game daily.
[player_tooltip player_id="259203" first="Jaya" last="Huma"] - Senior - Saguaro HS - 29 Three's/Season
[player_tooltip player_id="259203" first="Jaya" last="Huma"] is the type of player that makes sure that her minutes on the floor count in whatever way that she can. This article is recognizing her three-point shooting ability compared to the other players in the 4A and she has shown out among the rest. Late in the season against Chaparral, Huma made 8 threes, shooting 73% from behind the arc for the night's big win!! With a total of 29 made over the course of the year, Jaya will make you second-guess going under on the screen...
Kim Castillo - Senior - Youngker HS - 29 Three's/Season
Castillo was an honorable mention in part two of the returning top scorer's article linked above and she showed why with the 29 made three-pointers during the 2020-2021 Arizona high school basketball season. She averages 13.8 points per game along with the fact that she battles on both ends of the court for an average of 8.1 rebounds per game. Returning one last time for her senior season, Kim Castillo will put her veteran status to the test in a pretty tough and competitive 4A division.
Hannah Everingham - Senior - Paradise Honors HS - 28 Three's/Season
Last but not least, with an impressive total of 28 made three-pointers in the year, Senior, Hannah Everingham secures the final spot in the breakdown of the top returning three-point shooters during last season. This five-foot-six combo guard averages 7.3 PPG and scored 131 points for the Paradise Honors Lady Panthers. Shooting the ball 33% from downtown over the span of 18 games was not how Hannah scored all of her points though. She also excels from mid-range and can get through the lane in traffic. Solid player.
