Class of 2026: Seniors Who Elevated Their Game

With the senior class wrapping up their final runs, this was a group that didn't just ride things out — they got better. You could see it in the confidence, the expanded skill sets, and how they impacted winning. Here are a few seniors who really took that jump.    Brown has always passed the eye test — length, athleticism, ability to get downhill. But this year, it finally all started to come together. The game slowed down for her. You saw more control, more polish in her scoring package, and better decision-making in space. She's no longer just an athlete making plays — she's a basketball player who understands how to impact the game. That growth makes her someone who can step in and contribute at the next level.     Gordon's development might've been one of the more important transformations for her team. Naturally a scorer, she was asked to shift into more of a facilitator role — and she embraced it. Maddy took on even more of a leadership role, handled point guard duties, and still found ways to put the ball in the basket. That balance between scoring and running a team is not easy, but she made it look natural by the end of the season.     Enow flat-out produced. MyMy was one of the top scorers in the state, and the numbers backed it up — jumping to over 27 a night and even dropping a 55-piece this season. That's not just volume, that's growth in confidence and offensive versatility. She's scoring at all three levels now. She is still one of the top unsigned seniors.     Barajas has always had that toughness and athletic edge, but this year she stepped into the number one option role. She took on the responsibility, and her production followed. You saw improvements across the board — scoring, defensive impact, and leadership. She became a true two-way presence, affecting games on both ends and carrying a heavier load without backing down.     Fischbeck was the engine for a Mountain View team that took a step forward this season. Nearly averaging a double-double, she did a little bit of everything — scoring, rebounding, defending, making plays. She led the team in just about every major category, which tells you everything you need to know about her value. High motor, high IQ, and consistent impact. She was one of the main reasons that Toros' squad was trending up     The senior has been steady throughout her high school career, and this year she did what a senior is supposed to do. She was the backbone of the Hawks, who had a great season, finishing as the 6A runner-ups. She hit big shots when her team needed her and stepped up to provide invaluable leadership.     On a team loaded with talent, Z's contributions could easily get lost. I've seen her confidence in her skills grow over the years. This year, she did whatever her team needed her to. If they needed a big shot, she was there. If they needed a good defensive play, she was there. She is one of the most versatile players in this class and has impacted games in a variety of ways.
