Arizona 5A Top Returning Rebounders Per Game Leaders: Part 1

The Arizona 5A high school basketball season is just around the corner with the first tip-off happening in just a couple of months so let’s take a look back at some of the Top Returning Rebounders Per Game Leaders from last year! <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="261400" first="Kiley" last="Miller"] - Junior - Center - Centennial HS - 16.2 RPG </strong> Miller is the "big man" down low for the Centennial Lady Coyotes and starts off our list of top rebounds per game with an impressive <strong>16.2</strong> secured each game. #44 gives it her all on both ends of the floor racking up 177 defensive boards and 98 offensive boards totaling up to 275 rebounds during the 2020-2021 basketball season. Kiley also did her part for her team by averaging 16.6 points per game and 3.2 blocks per game. She did all of this as an underclassman, so I expect her to come back this season with confidence and the ability to lead her team. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="208253" first="Navine" last="Mallon"] - Junior - Power Forward - Flowing Wells HS - 13.4 RPG </strong> Incoming junior at Flowing Wells High School in Tucson, [player_tooltip player_id="208253" first="Navine" last="Mallon"] is an explosive power forward for the Lady Caballeros that brought down <strong>13.4 rebounds per game</strong> throughout the last season. With this stat, she is the second-leading rebounder in the 5A division of Arizona and one to watch out for next year. She finished with a total of 255 rebounds, 136 came from the defensive end and 119 from the offensive. This shows that she tries to be the aggressor on both sides of the floor and takes pride in her team having the ball. Scoring 11.7 PPG, Navine is able to finish at the rim and make her presence known. <strong>Avery Graber - Junior - Power Forward/Center - Paradise Valley HS - 12.9 RPG </strong> Paradise Valley’s, Avery Graber makes the third spot on our list of top returning rebounders from last season with <strong>12.9 RPG, </strong>109 of those on the defensive end and 98 on the offensive side. She is a long and lanky six-foot-two that wants to be the aggressor when in the game. As an underclassmen, Graber helped lead the Trojans to a successful 10-7 record, scoring 10.8 points per game. Avery has the ability to score and get to the free-throw line when necessary. <strong>Katherine Ducharme - Senior - Center - Arcadia HS - 11.9 RPG </strong> Six-foot, incoming senior for the Arcadia Titans, Katherine Ducharme finished off the 2020-2021 basketball season with a total of <strong>11.9 rebounds per game </strong>making her one of the top returning rebounders to watch out for in the 5A this year. With 158 defensive boards and 57 offensive, Katherine went after every ball that was put up and got herself in a good position to rebound. After playing in all 18 games last season, Ducharme will need to come out strong and confident as a veteran on this team to help them to a winning season! <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="214594" first="Kaisha" last="Henry"] - Senior - Forward - Verrado HS - 10.4 RPG </strong> [player_tooltip player_id="214594" first="Kaisha" last="Henry"] is a firecracker for the Verrado Lady Vipers that really gets the job done from anywhere on the court. This specific article will be referencing Henry’s ability to block out and rebound the basketball. With <strong>10.4 rebounds per game </strong>and 188 total over the course of 18 games, Kaisha made sure to do the little things down low to improve her chances of getting the board. Unlike the other four players that were featured above, she makes her impact on the offensive end of the court. She brought down 114 O boards to give her teammates a second chance to score during the 2020-2021 basketball season. Henry is an all-around top player in the state and one to KNOW!!!
