Kylie Cabana Kylie Cabana 5'8" | SG Paramus Catholic | 2024 State NJ F Bogota
Averaging a double-double as a freshman is impressive but to do it while dropping 26 points a game is downright amazing. From the moment she stepped on the court she was in complete control. It all begins with her constantly attacking the basket. She drives with strength and finishes with finesse. Kylie can also shoot from the outside and bring the ball up court. She does it all on offense. Her ability to rebounds always turns into points. Whether it’s with putbacks on offense or grabbing a board on D and turning it into a fast break the other way. Her versatility on defense makes her able to cover any player on the court and gives her one of the most complete games out of anyone in her class.
Janasia Wilson Janasia Wilson SF Irvington | 2024 State NJ G Irvington
The tall guard from Irvington had a great inaugural season. She has a combination of size and speed that make her difficult to handle for any defender. When the ball is in her hands anything is possible. Her first step is deadly so she can take you to the hole or step back and make it rain from the perimeter. Janasia is also a lockdown defender who can give any guard a hard time. Her athleticism is what sets her apart from the other players on the court and field. She is also the starting quarterback for one of the only girl’s flag football teams in the state.
Morgan Marshall Morgan Marshall PG University | 2024 State NJ G Montclair
Morgan is a complete guard. She can create on her own and get her teammates involved too. Not only does she dominate from the outside but she can get to the basket. Her quick first step allows her to beat defenders off the dribble and then finish at the rim, even against bigger defenders. She’s extremely active on defense, which leads typically leads to turnovers and buckets for the Mounties.
Taylor Derkack Taylor Derkack 6'0" | SF Colonia | 2024 State NJ F Colonia
Derkack is the definition of a complete basketball player. She can pass, rebound and score from anywhere on the court. Putting up 17 points 10 rebounds and 6 assists per game is proof of that. Her vision and ability to move without the ball always puts her in a good position to score. She is an active defender who can guard anyone on the court and an excellent rebounder as well.
Dagny Slomack Dagny Slomack 5'5" | SG Newark Academy | 2024 State NJ G Newark Academy
Besides being the best 3-point shooter in her class the combo guard has a number of other skills that make her one of the best players in the state. Her passing and ball-handling ability allow her to not only create plays for herself but her team as well. She’s a savvy defender that uses her feet and head to always keep herself in the right position but her best quality is something that doesn’t show up on the stat sheet. Its the ability to lead her team.
