Teagan Ng, 5-11 2024, Big Walnut
Teagan (pictured left) is a lengthy guard that uses her size on both ends of the floor. She will battle you on the boards and be a threat on the perimeter with her ability to make the court look small when she is defending you. Passing and getting her teammates involved for good shots will definitely be her first option, but when she is under the basket she will fight for a finish at the rim.
Morgan Meek Morgan Meek 5'10" | SG Springboro | 2024 State OH , 5-9 2024, Springboro
When watching Meek (pictured right), you can tell she has high IQ for the game. She is a guard that seems to love to get her teammates involved. In transition, she spaces the floor well and is ready for the ball to come her way. She is able to read and understand the defense to reposition herself on the wing for a shot. You can tell she has been working on her shot because the release is smooth and quick off the pass.
Maddie Mueller Maddie Mueller 5'9" | CG Lebanon | 2024 OH , 5-8 2024, Lebanon
Maddie (pictured left) is an offensive threat at the point guard position. She can knock down the shot or cross her defender over and attack the hoop. Her basketball IQ is noticed when she is on the court, where she is able to read her teammates for good passes off a cut or dump to her post. The touch on her floater in the lane looks smooth and comfortable. She is a confident player and will continue to improve.
Emily Grim, 6-0 2024, Centerville
A defender would not want to get stuck in the post against Grim. She will be tough and physical when posting you up and knows how to use her body to back you down for easy finishes at the rim. The post moves she has developed and added to her game are smooth and she will not shy away from the contact. She is going to fight on the boards for her teammates after every play. It will be exciting to keep watching her add to her skills.
Airah Lavy Airah Lavy 5'10" | SF Nelsonville York | 2024 State OH , 5-10 2024, Nelsonville York
As she makes her stops at various events, more people are realizing how good she is. Division One talent, good size guard who can defend multiple positions on the court. She is deadly from the perimeter, can knock them down from anywhere at any distance. Good midrange, can get to the rim and create. Excellent handles and can push the tempo to a different level. (pictured left)
Emily Baer, 5-3 2024, Toledo Central Catholic
This is the point guard that anyone at the next level would want on their team. She has high basketball IQ, handles the ball with confidence, advances it down the floor, and can break traps without the look of panic. She plays at a face pace, but makes things look calm and under control while she is out there. No doubt she is fun to watch and will be a snag at the next level.
Olivia Skillings, 5-7 2024, Mechanicsburg
Olivia shows a great ability to handle the ball in the front court. She can come off a screen or off the dribble after reading the defense to shoot a nice pull up jumper. Her mid-range game is where she is at her best. She has a nice shot from the perimeter with a quick release.
Layla Merriweather Layla Merriweather 5'6" | CG Olentangy Berlin | 2024 OH , 5-6 2024, Olentangy Berlin
When Layla (feature photo above) is on the court, she has that look in her eye and competitive nature that flat out shows toughness. I would not want to be matched up against this kid in transition or off the pass. She has a quick first step that lets her blow by defenders for crafty finishes around the rim. She has the ability to read a helpside defender and switch it up. Her skills and ability to attack defenders will allow her to keep adding to her game.
