Fundamentally one of the strongest players I saw in the Dayton Shootout. Nice pull up jumpers, follows her shot, and her inside moves on the block are tough to stop! Solid footwork with drop step. Rebounding machine, and no problem blocking shots!
Ma’Kaylia Lute Ma’Kaylia Lute 5'4" | PG Huber Heights Wayne | 2022 OH – 2022, PG, Wayne H.S.: What impressed me the most from Lute was her defense. She plays tight, and aggressive. This set the tone for creating turnovers. Handles the ball well, and showed pretty, under control moves to the bucket!
Sami Bardonaro Sami Bardonaro 5'10" | CG Vandalia Butler | 2023 State OH – 2023, PG/SG, Butler H.S.:
Bardonaro plays smart- doesn’t rush herself offensively- she knows when to take the 3’s, attacks the basket, and makes smooth turnaround jumpers! Defensively I love her help side, and no problem picking pockets and rebounding. (Below with ball)
Carmen Hueker- 2022, PG, Botkins H.S.: Hueker played strong from the point guard position, and loves to take the rock to the basket, which creates opportunities for her to capitalize from the line. Nice mid range shot, takes care of the ball, and creates easy shots for her teammates.
Paxton Hunley- 2022, PG, Miami East H.S.: Paxton is an active guard, really showed that she is a spark for her team defensively. She has a soft touch around the rim, and finds the open seams to attack the basket.
McKayah Musselman- 2024, C, Miami East East H.S.: McKayah has a great feel for the game! I love her size and strength, and how she uses the backboard for any shot in the paint. Her footwork is strong, particularly on the block. No problem rebounding! Keep your eyes on her!
Lillian Leopard- 2024, Beavercreek H.S.: Leopard is athletic, and really changes the dynamics for her team. Love how she can change direction and make difficult moves look easy. Knows how to get to the charity stripe. She just never stops, eyes are always on the ball, and ready to make plays!
Riley Smith Riley Smith 6'2" | SF Kettering Alter | 2024 State OH – 2024, Kettering Alter H.S.: She covers so much territory with her size! Makes the right moves on transition, and has a nice touch around the paint. Defensively she makes life difficult for opponents trying to score inside, simply because of her ability to move well, her height, and blocking!
