These newcomers have just come from being the main person on campus to now just a little fish in a big pond. Here is a look at a few Freshman players who could impact their teams in a positive way.
Kendall Kane Kendall Kane 6'0" | SF Beachside | 2025 State FL 2025 (Bartram) should be a big impact player this High School season for Bartram. She has the size and more significantly, is her ability to put the ball in the basket. Bartram was already blessed with size in the frontcourt with Aja Pollard Aja Pollard 5'10" | SF Bartram Trail | 2023 State FL and Dyllan Hanna before Kane’s arrival. Adding the 6’0″ Kane to the equation could spell “big” trouble for opponents.
Victoria Noble 2025 (Fleming Island). If there is one thing that Noble can do – it’s shooting that rock. Over the summer during the college live period, Nobles “shot the lights out” at times, including a 5 three-pointer outing in Louisville. Louisville, KY. Noble’s work ethic is second to none. In travel ball, Noble made a conscious effort to improve on the defensive end and the goal-oriented Freshman did just that. Nobles should pay huge dividends for Fleming Island High School.
Breah Usry Breah Usry 5'4" | SG Ponte Vedra HS | 2025 State FL 2025 (Ponte Vedra ) is one of the most gifted athletes on the First Coast and will bring a tough defensive mentality to the Ponte Vedra Sharks. Usry has a motor that doesn’t turn off until the game is over. She plays an aggressive style of defense and doesn’t shy away from contact. On offense, Usry is a slasher and plays with the same aggression that she does on defense. She scores a lot of points in the transition and finishes at the rim with explosion. She has the physicality and the athleticism to compete with the older players and overwhelm so of the less athletic opponents.
Abby Knauff 2025 (Bolles) has the potential to be one of the top scorers for the Bulldogs 5his upcoming season. She plays like an upperclassman. She does all of the little things like boxing out and playing defense on every possession. She can shoot the ball, attack the basket, jump, and is super athletic and strong.
Kayla Debrow 2025 (Florida Deaf and Blind) is a 6’2 forward who is long and lengthy and can block shots and finish around the basket. Debrow also runs the floor very well and is always around the action. She does a good job of getting rebounds and getting put-backs. She is a player to watch this upcoming season.
There are plenty of 2025 players on the First Coast who should make an immediate impact this upcoming season. As the high school season gets closer and more rosters are filled, we will revisit the 2025 class and highlight other Freshmen who should make huge impacts on their respective teams.
