SaMiyah Ellis SaMiyah Ellis 5'8" | PG Wichita Heights | 2025 State KS , 5’7″, Sunrise Christian Academy, 2025 – Late in the day Ellis got in a groove and showed off her transition handles and quick release on a pair of made three point shots after spending her early games being squeezed defensively by stronger 2022 guards including ones mulling over D I & D II offers. Good ability to finish with athleticism and quickness.
Emma Mitchell Emma Mitchell 5'10" | SF Rossville | 2024 State KS , 5’10”, Rossville, 2024 – Mitchell showed an ability to see action developing and create opportunities for herself and others because of that. She also showed solid transition speed and quickness. Needs to get stronger to absorb contact on the finish, rebound with power, and defend with physicality.
Naomi White Naomi White 5'9" | CG Bellevue West | 2024 NE , 5’8″, Derby, 2024 – White’s hustle and willingness to get on the floor was as noticeable as the assertiveness shown to get to the basket quickly off perimeter screen action.
Madi Denison Madi Denison 5'11" | PF Minneola | 2023 State KS , 5’11”, Minneola, 2023 – The first person I would think of after the event when thinking about power forwards would be Denison. Good size and strength, few attendees could physically match up with her on either end of the floor. While she is a lot to handle in the paint on both ends she also showed quickness to defend smaller, quicker forwards well.
Trinity Lutters Trinity Lutters 5'4" | SG Osborne | 2023 State KS , 5’4″, Osborne, 2023 – While she has good transition speed, Lutters’ quickness and ability to lead a half court offense separated her from the pack. She has solid vision and handles to distribute well and to create on the perimeter and on the drive. Players sagging off quickly learned Lutters can put the ball in the basket with a quick release.
Jordan Mynsted Jordan Mynsted 5'11" | PF Louisburg | 2022 State KS , 6’0″, Louisburg, 2022 – Mynsted is a high potential power forward with a solid build, good length, and raw ability. She has deep three point range and good transition speed. She also competes well on both ends of the floor. Really liked on the finish with speed that she is not a bunny hop slash quick little steps player. Catching on the wing break, two maybe three long strides and she is finishing with length and speed.
Destiny Smith Destiny Smith 5'7" | CG Derby | 2024 State KS , 5’7″, Derby, 2024 – Smith’s recuperation from injury is well on track. Smith was back to her aggressive play marked by quickness and strong handles.
Sara Springer Sara Springer 5'5" | PG Wamego | 2024 State KS , 5’4″, Wamego, 2024 – Springer is a walking surprise. She surprised in how well she battled – and annoyed – opponents on both ends of the floor. She is not a speed-demon flashy player. But she handles and creates with quickness. She also made as good of entry passes as anybody on the floor. Defenders have to pay attention all the time. She changed gears upon spotting an opening. Springer also buried perimeter shots with range when defenders did not give her the proper respect.
Jaley Barkley Jaley Barkley 5'7" | PG Cair Paravel Latin School | 2022 State KS , 5’7″, Cair Paravel Latin, 2022 – Barkley will not routinely beat people with her athleticism and quickness off the bounce. What she did do was her flash her solid motor and competitiveness on both ends of the floor. I liked her vision in the half court and in transition to distribute to shooters and finishers. Barkley also showed herself to be a perimeter threat with a quick release.
