Oh, what makes me credible, not the fact that my daughter had over a dozen D1 offers before she entered high school or over 100 when she committed, nor the thousands of players I’ve helped get to the next level, it’s because I said so.
Kendall Glover Kendall Glover 5'11" Conroe | 2025 TX -5’11 PF (Conroe HS)
Glover did a whole lot of different things to impress me without scoring, first of all, I loved her aggressiveness as well being under control around the basket, then she showed her timing as she blocked a few shots. She then captured the #THROWBACK hashtag by diving for loose balls on the floor and when she played the passing lanes, that just did it. She also rebounded on both ends of the floor, understands positioning as well as the importance of running the floor and she did a good job finishing around the basket, this includes putbacks after contact
Jerriyah Baines Jerriyah Baines 5'10" | SF Killeen | 2025 State TX -5’10 SF (Killeen Ellison HS)
Baines caught my eye a few months ago with a club team and the other eye a few weeks later with a different one yet both eyes were wide open as she just did “it” for me. Let me start with her “college-ready body” as well as her ability to attack powerfully and finish after contact but taking defenders off the dribble with ease is, well easy because she can handle the ball under pressure, this includes the open court and as I go back to her power, she finishes after contact. She also can drop the midrange but her rebounding, on both ends of the court, as well as her defense stood out as well
Bella Edwards Bella Edwards 5'9" Lubbock Titans | 2025 TX -5’9 SG (Amarillo HS)
Edwards is one of those players that I said something really clever about the first time I saw her and went like “someone needs to get on the redhead because she’s on fire” and guess what, it wasn’t a mirage and she did against tougher competition, the novice won’t comprehend “it’s not what you do, it’s who you do it against” but her unlimited range keeps getting deeper, her ability to “catch and shoot” was very nice as well as her creating her shot under pressure to attack and finish and by her being on Team 3, I guess that fit because she certainly dropped a few, she even handled the ball “coast to coast” to drop some that way
Lyric Broussard Lyric Broussard 5'7" | SG Midway | 2025 TX -5’6 SG (Teague HS)
Broussard showed me something different in each of her games yet one thing that was consistent is she understands how to take defenders off the dribble. She has a deceptive first step coupled with a nice HEZ, that’s hesitation in my language yet the FLOATA, floater, was also an eye-catcher as she dropped a few, even after contact. She also put her “pull-up jumper” on display and all of these things were very nice yet the intangibles with her size really did it for me as she understands positioning, a lost art, and outrebounded taller opponents, plus she battled for loose balls on the floor
Spirit Sheriff Spirit Sheriff 5'6" South Grand Prairie | 2025 TX -5’5 PG (South Grand Prairie HS)
Sheriff had me yell “someone call the law” as she had numerous steals to start the event off until I realized, she was the law and that jumper is so smooth that she is definitely going to create some problems. She’s heady, she has speed and she can handle the ball under control going full speed, it ain’t easy, try it while being pressured yet she also has a variety of ways to create space, the HEZ is one, the stutter-step is another but the first step can be devastating at times as she attacks strongly, finishes the same way and her court vision definitely is something that will be helpful as she progresses
