Top 250 Expo- Dabbs Key Juniors

Several juniors participated in the PGH Ohio Top 250 Expo in Columbus, and after a look at some of the top seniors yesterday, I will look at my five kids who make up my All-2023 team. Again, these are only players who played on the team I was assigned to. Later in the week, I will also look at 2024, 2025, New Faces and Playmakers. PGH Ohio Expo Dabbs All-2023 Team [player_tooltip player_id="327760" first="Samantha" last="Kim"], 5-8 St. Joseph’s Academy Another impressive performance by a young lady I first saw a couple of years ago at the Ohio Summer Showcase. Kim (pictured left) is a very skilled junior guard who consistently makes the right decisions on the court. She plays under control while being able to play at different tempos from the guard spot. She is excellent at the pick-and-roll, knows where to be and to get her teammates involved. She has active hands on defense and a very solid perimeter game. [player_tooltip player_id="216099" first="Ariel" last="Grace"], 5-5 Columbus Africentric Another in a long line of talented players from the multiple state championship program in Columbus. Ariel (feature photo above on left) is an electric point guard with smooth handles, able to change directions and get by her defender. Can penetrate to the rim and finish with either hand. Solid footwork and can create well. Has the perimeter game to break open a zone if you leave her out there. [player_tooltip player_id="327752" first="Damara" last="Sellers"], 5-7 Winton Woods She has a very solid game, showed the ability to see the floor well and make the right pass. Damara (pictured right) anticipates the ball well defensively, reads and reacts. She made a ton of plays on the defensive side of the ball that created offensive chances for her team. Showed good footwork in the paint, looks to score at the rim. Athletic and polished, a kid who should be a factor this season. [player_tooltip player_id="93536" first="Sami" last="Bardonaro"], 5-9 Vandalia Butler A player who I am very familiar with, and she didn’t disappoint. Sami (pictured left) is an advanced skilled guard with a very high motor to run in transition, very good ball skills with sharp court vision. One thing I like about her is she doesn’t take plays off. Will light you up from the perimeter with unlimited range. Will cause havoc with on-ball defense. [player_tooltip player_id="327751" first="Olivia" last="Rouser"], 5-8 Cardinal Mooney Olivia (pictured right) moves well without the ball, setting herself up to be more efficient in the offense. She is athletic and a very good defender. loves to push the ball in transition. She has a good court IQ, sees the court well and will find a better shot for her team. She is a crisp passer and displayed good leadership on the floor.
