Over the next few days, I will be looking at several kids from the PGH Ohio Top 250 Expo. Today, a look at some of the playmakers from last Sunday in Columbus.
PGH Ohio Top 250 Expo Playmakers- Part 1
[player_tooltip player_id="315018" first="Carly" last="Lehman"], 5-8 2023 Fairbanks
Carly (pictured left) continues to impress with her hard work ethic and the ability to create for her team. She has a good midrange jumper and can get to the rim and uses the glass well. She is a strong, physical kid with good moves to the rim. Can finish well. Solid defender, able to guard mulitple positions. Had a good summer with the Dayton Metro on the PGH Circuit.
[player_tooltip player_id="217354" first="Maddie" last="Mueller"], 5-9 2024 Lebanon
A good sized guard who does a good job penetrating well to the basket. Can get past her defender and uses both hands equally well. She can make plays happen and is a threat in multiple scoring ways. Has good range, solid from the line and not afraid of letting if fly. (pictured right)
[player_tooltip player_id="327770" first="Izzie" last="Polinko"], 5-6 2025 Avon Lake
Izzie (feature photo above) showed good qualities of a productive guard, either handling the ball at times or a solid perimeter scoring game. She is heading into her freshman year with confidence, really does some nice things for a young player. Head smart with a good basketball IQ. Her game will continue to grow.
[player_tooltip player_id="327737" first="Gianna" last="Boyce"], 5-5 2024 Grove City
What I liked the most about Gianna (pictured left) was her ability to capitalize on her quickness and athletic ability to force turnovers. She is a fearless defender with quick hands and made the right plays. Active hands with her on-ball defense that forces turnovers. She also can hurt you from the outside with a good shooting touch.
[player_tooltip player_id="216104" first="Karley" last="Moore"], 5-11 2023 Tipp City Bethel
I don’t know many kids in Ohio who gets into the gym at events like this young lady does, she always want to compete and get better. That is huge for me, wanting to make yourself better. Long and lanky, can defend a guard out front or drop down and use long arms to protect the rim. Can rebound and handles the ball. Will look to continue to work on her perimeter game as she will be a big factor and leader for her high school team this season. (pictured right)
[player_tooltip player_id="280122" first="Alyssa" last="Geiser"], 5-7 2024 Waynedale
Another kid whose stock continues to rise with her effort and development on the court. She has a productive perimeter game that is getting better and she is a high energy player with good handles, and defensively she can play well on-ball. Coaches kid and it shows with good basketball court sense. (pictured left)
[player_tooltip player_id="216091" first="Hannah" last="Hunt"], 5-11 2023, Beavercreek
Looking to contribute at a higher level this year, and she has shown in the summer that she is talented. She does a nice job finishing around the rim with good hands and can run the floor in transition. Long and agile, moves well and not afraid of playing through contact. Her game has improved also, has the desire to get better. (pictured right)
