The 6’0 shooting guard / wing who is from Santiago, Chile has been part of the recent success at Montverde Academy for several seasons. Ranked # 9 in the 2022 rankings, Ovalle is a skilled offensive scorer, who can knock it down from deep as well as put it to the floor driving baseline to get to the rim. She is extremely efficient on the offensive end, shooting a high percentage, and has excellent court vision. Ovalle verbally committed to Xavier University after visiting the campus in Cincinnati, Ohio.

The Longhorns went 21-10 and made it all the way to the Elite 8 under new Head Coach Vic Shaefer.
# 2 [player_tooltip player_id="91556" first="Tonie" last="Morgan"] and # 5 [player_tooltip player_id="91557" first="Sydney" last="Shaw"] have been two of the state’s top scoring guards for several years having been impact varsity players since their Freshman year and having been on the travel circuit for quite some time. Tonie is headed to the ACC and will play at Georgia Tech, while Shaw is headed to the SEC and will suit it up for new Head Coach Johnnie Harris and the Auburn Tigers next season.
